Excessive speed by most motorists from high street to Sheridan drive. No traffic control measures in place , add speed bumps or a stop sign at Eastside or something . Also many deer in area and not one single deer warning sign.
Requesting a pedestrian crosswalk here. The sidewalk ends on opposite sides of the street but there is not a pedestrian crosswalk to cross the road. There is a school, park and YMCA nearby that people are walking to and they have to cross quickly without the pedestrian marking.
I AM REACHING OUT ABOUT A SAFETY AND ACCESSIBILITY CONCERN I'VE NOTICED NEAR COLLINS THAT I WAS WANTING TO GET TAKEN CARE OF AS CENTER PRESIDENT THIS YEAR. BETWEEN THE MAIN QUAD ON WOODLAWN AND THE HILLCREST APARTMENTS, THERE IS NO CROSSWALK/PEDESTRIAN CROSSING/YIELD SIGN EVEN THOUGH WE ARE SITUATED DIRECTLY BETWEEN TWO BUSY INTERSECTIONS. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE WE DO HAVE LIGHT POSTS ON THIS PATH, THEY ARE ONLY ON ONE SIDE OF THE STREET, AND THE BULBS ARE VERY DIM. I WAS WONDERING HOW I WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE A CHANGE IMPLEMENTED HERE. THE COLLINS LLC HAS ART STUDIOS IN BOTH THE MAIN QUAD AND AT HILLCREST, AND THEY ARE HARD TO ACCESS SAFELY, ESPECIALLY FOR SOME OF OUR STUDENTS WHO HAVE CHRONIC ILLNESSES AND EYESIGHT ISSUES THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM A YIELD SIGN, INCREASED LIGHTING, AND POSSIBLE TACTILE PAVING.
Speed bumps/rumble strips. Pedestrian crossing light. I’ve been almost run over numerous times here in the crosswalk people are going 40 or 50 miles an hour—-very dangerous for pedestrians crossing.
I reside at 1909 E. Windsor Dr. Recently many of the streets in our neighborhood were repaved and speed humps were installed. However, our street from the corner of Arden Dr to the three-way stop corner of Wilton Dr were repaved but not speed humps. I am advocating for 1-2 to be installed on Windsor Dr between these two intersections. Very few autos stop at the three-way and I believe the speed hump will slow them down as they come to the Windsor & Wilton intersection and make for a much safer intersection. An older resident in the neighborhood explained how Windsor Dr at one time was a straight east-west street and the Windsor & Wilton intersection was a straight T with only one direction having a stop sign. The city, many years ago, changed this intersection to add a three-way stop and curve Windsor out so to slow down traffic. Maybe it worked, but not so much from our vantage point. I have small grandchildren that are with me a lot and I'd like the area to be safer for pedestrians. Lots of dog walkers and people walking in general and there are NO sidewalks for the most part in our neighborhood. Thank you for your consideration of this matter. I live in the trailer court on Muller pkwy and every year with the influx of students I have been trying to turn left on to Muller pkwy and multiple times cars have come out on to 3rd Street trying to turn left ignoring the Do not enter sign I have almost been hit on multiple occasions. Then on Muller Pkwy itself students speed and do not pay attention to pedestrians and their dogs there isn't a sidewalk or speed bumps to slow we traffic down there isn't a speed bump until by the apartments complex Village at the Muller t
This is a lot in GentryCrest covered with abandoned construction material, pallets, cement block etc. This also occurs on the lot opposite this on Hathaway Ct. as well.
People living in an RV for the last year with trash and equipment all over the backyard. Operating auto repair in their backyard. General nuisance. Police called several times for domestic abuse. Burning trash. Probably drug use.
A lot of random junk, trash, and rundown vehicles scattered through driveway, lawn and side of property. There are also many piles of feces scattered through the lawn, contributing to the health concern of the unnecessary build up of trash and junk. Stray cats appear to be living in the junk and vehicles. Trash blows from this yard into neighboring properties and all of the junk creates a massive eyesore for surrounding homeowners. It appears the property owner also stores a trailer and additional vehicle in the street due to the inability to fit any more vehicles into the driveway. The negligence of this homeowner is creating an unhealthy and ugly problem for the entire neighborhood. Something needs to be done about this immediately.
The renter has had eight tires sitting in front of his garage since August of 2023. He has been asked to remove them but he only parked his huge white SUV in front of them. 1. they are unsightly 2. during the warm months the mosquitos will breed in the trapped water.
