Sidewalk completely blocked by overgrown yard
Excessive growth completely blocking sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to walk in the street.
My name is Jonathaon eacret. I just moved into a new house on Southern Drive at the beginning of this month. Over a week ago a steak truck set up shop across the road at the station. they have a generator on the front of the trailer that has been running non-stop for over a week now other than to refuel. it is very loud and becoming obnoxious to me and my family. I have two children one of which has school everyday and I work full time 8 to 5. It has caused us us to lose sleep and other stress within my household. I want to see if there is any way to limit the number of hours ran or maybe perform a test to see if there is a noise violation. I do not wish to harm their business but I would like a more peaceful approach. Im not one to complain normally but this is becoming a burden on my family
I'd like to request a crosswalk or something to make it safer/easier for pedestrians & bicyclists to cross Rogers over to the Switchyard Park.
I would love to see a proper crosswalk and sidewalks added at all sides of the Rogers and Rockport intersection. I would also like to request a completed sidewalk added to the east side of Rogers between Rockport and the Switchyard Park entrance. Families from Rockport Hills and the surrounding neighborhoods often walk over to Switchyard Park and I personally have had and witnessed numerous close calls attempting to cross Rogers to enter Switchyard Park on foot. It would be great to have some sort of crosswalk added at the Switchyard entrance to aid those on foot trying to cross Rogers and enter the park. During larger events when the park parking lot fills up, there is overflow parking in the field in front of Catalent. Then a huge flow of people are forced to wait for traffic in order to essentially jaywalk into the park. It seems to me that some infrastructure improvements are needed for this area of Rogers St. to facilitate the main entrance to one of the largest parks in the city. Finally, I think it would be great to have some sort of high retaining wall built around the massive eye-sore electrical transfer station directly across from the park entrance (similar to the one built right next to the Upland Woodshop). Thank you for your time and consideration!
The planter at the Switchyard Park entrance on Rogers Street (south of the warehouse, east of the power substation) is heavily overgrown with perfectly selected flora to obscure the line of sight for people trying to exit the park. I was driving north on Rogers and a car almost pulled out into the road in front of me. I could barely see them behind the overgrowth and they obviously could not see me. That entire stretch of Rogers by the park is looking a little rough, to be honest. There is a lot of overgrown stuff along Rogers. The line of sight exiting the park is the most egregious and the most dangerous. Can this get taken care of before someone gets hurt? Thanks.
Sidewalk ends at creek, forcing pedestrians to cross busy road with no crosswalk or walk on the road. With Switchyard Park, pedestrian traffic is now much higher. Sidewalk needs to be continuous here.
Would it be possible to have a crosswalk painted on South Rogers Street at the entrance to the parking lot of Switchyard Park? Thank you for your consideration.
Likely someone living in this rv as well violation of should go to planning for enforcement.
