Two lanes on Indiana Avenue seems excessive. There is never a lot of traffic here. I was in the left-most lane at Indiana Ave and 7th Street, and someone driving turned left from the right lane. I see this often because people don't know they are on one-way streets. It'd be easier if this is only one-lane northbound.
I live on the west side of South Park Ridge Rd, the block between Saratoga St. and E. 46. There is a very slight curve on this block (west side of the street) which is just enough to create a visibility issue for me when attempting to pull-out of my driveway. Myself and others have had some close calls when exiting my drive. To add to the issue, cars traveling this stretch consistently travel SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the posted speed limit. Wondering if there might be some kind of street signage alerting to "hidden drive" or something to possibly alert traffic of the possibility of a car pulling out from an area that is difficult to see due to the curve. Ultimately, I really feel the stretch of Park Ridge Rd from E 46 to the 4 way stop at Morningside Dr. could greatly benefit from traffic calming measures....speed bump installation. Thanks in advance to your attention to this matter.
In response to the response to https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=210064, I understand that the mural is on private property, but it appears to violate several provisions of the UDO regarding size, placement, and relevance of advertisements and signage in public.
More and more cars keep getting parks at the property. In the grass. No license plates. Abandoned and irresponsible.
The bike store recently put up a super bright orange neon light in the window facing Grant Street that says Velotric. It lights up the apartments across the street all night long. Can they turn it off at night or move it to another window? This is a neighborhood not a mall. They are the only busines in the area.
Why does RDC land continue to be used as vehicle storage and parking? This used to be vegetated. Now it’s a large gravel lot that shouldn’t be there. We’re all not allowed to make this so why are they? Does the forge and Mille have special rules? Please ensure this gets corrected. There’s supposed to still be an alley in here somewhere isn’t there? It’d be great to know where, as it shouldn’t be blocked by vehicles.
Cars drive down 10th street at dangerous speeds. I would like to suggest that 10th street between Monroe St. and Cottage Grove Ave. be a one-way street, as it is not wide enough for two cars and people often drive very fast. There is also no sidewalk, and I am often using this street as a pedestrian.
There is no connection from the Speedway sidewalk to the Town & Country Apartments sidewalk. It has been mud in the years past, but now there is newly planted grass. The area in question is also a bus stop. It looks like the property belongs to Town & Country. Is there a plan to remediate? How does one upload a second photo?
The city never cleared the snow from the bicycle lane after the January storm. As a direct consequence, the melting piles of snow left mounds of debris when they melted – similar to glacial till. Please clear the debris from the bicycle lanes on N. College Avenue and N. Walnut Street, which has been there for nearly 3 weeks now.
