We are having a landscape crew dig stumps in this area, but before we can start - it needs to be flagged and checked for underground utilities. I actually don’t have an address for these stumps. I would like to ask the City of Bloomington to begin considering steps to put ordinances, rules, regulations on these Bird Scooters that have infiltrated our city. I have seen almost every person riding in violation of the safety rules the company urges. There have been two people on a scooter, all of them without helmets, and riding on sidewalks/all over campus. They are getting parked on campus bike racks, cluttering up side walks, and generally are unsafe and without any kind of ordinance in place, could only cause potential risk to both car drivers, pedestrians, cyclists etc. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45596449 There are known deaths on these modes of transportation. Indianapolis enacted an ordinance after unsafe crashes had occurred. Bloomington needs to be aware of the risk and make stations for these scooters with agreements on proper use.
This is on a utility pole behind my house at 319 N Dunn St. The pole is located on the south side of 8th St. between Dunn and Grant. It's right next to the small parking spot in my back yard (there's normally a black Subaru Forrester parked there). When I noticed it last night, it was swinging back and forth in the wind. I know absolutely nothing about electrician stuff, but I'm worried that this is an exposed wire from the utility lines that could hurt someone.
The green painted street light in the 300 block of 7th street is burned out and is causing a safety issue. The large street light still works. It is on the north side of street , near a tree.
Light pole has a broken plastic cover. This is not a duke light.
New street lamp on SE corner of 12th/Lincoln is WAY too bright, much brighter and whiter than the normal orange-ish lamps on other street light fixtures in the neighborhood. This one emits a lot of glare, blinding drivers as they attempt to navigate 12th Street, and causing pain if one happens to look directly at it. Worse, it casts light far beyond the actual intersection, flooding the houses in the vicinity with unwanted light all night long, preventing people from enjoying their porches in the evenings and early mornings. If the City refuses to switch the light to a normal soft light that can be tolerated, it seems reasonable that the light can at the very least be shaded so that the intense glare is only directed downward rather than flooding the neighbors' homes in all directions with unnatural, unhealthy, and offensive light. A similar lamp was recently installed at the 12th/Dunn intersection. The people who live near that intersection are probably experiencing a similar, unwelcome annoyance.

crows had attacked the back parking lot early Dec 17th. My wife and I cleaned up the back parking lot Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I went to Lowes and bought two fake Horned Owls and placed them on my air conditioner units. The next day Dec 20th there were no signs of crow activity from the night before.
This innocent fella was at a local pet store also known as Anthony’s pets.. While I was there I noticed the puppy couldn’t notice any hand gestures and literally barely moved.. Ehen he was awake you could definitely tell by looking in his eyes he was blind.. (I have an Aussie and know my fair share of info on the breed) anyways.. when telling him he argued and told me 1,600 for the puppy.. I a college kid do not have that so I had to leave the puppy.. I believe that knowing this condition and denying it when asking about it is unfair and not right.. In my opinion this place needs shut down because of this and other previous issues within the store.. The dogs are NOT well taken care of and that’s completely visible to anyone that has common sense.
