Homeless encampment on the corner of Fairview and Patterson is eyesore and have seen unhoused in public urination at daylight hours. Children in car witnessed public urination. How is this public encampment allowed?
With the new administration incoming, will there be a renewed focus on female centered solutions for various items in city hall? The women’s bathrooms have gaping cracks in the stalls which lack privacy, there is a bolt missing in a lock that creates a peep hole, and the breastfeeding privacy area is a curtain at the entrance of the 1st floor bathroom which provides little to no privacy as folks can see into the area when the door opens and you can clearly see shoes and who’s in the area below the curtain. It is difficult to report these issues on the internal system as they require a lot of information and cannot be reported anonymously by staff who just simply seek workplace improvements and equity. Pitch black neighborhood along E. 7th, effecting Park Doran, Cambridge Square, Relato Apartments— impossible to see, dangerous because cars pull off of Bypass here as a short cut, and unhoused hide in bushes behind Best Buy. Any renter walking to the grocery stores after 5pm risks getting hurt by strangers and traffic. Need many streetlights along these blocks. How did you forget to add them?
Why is the expansion of the showers building into the west not for the expansion of city hall? This seems most logical as there are employees spilling into hallways, lack of meeting rooms, lack of parking, and no need to move those (police and fire) into a smaller space when they both respectively have their own headquarters. Very puzzling choices
The first four street lamps east of Henderson/Indiana have a weird, purple haze that make it difficult to see at night. Glaring and annoying. Same issue with first two lamps east of Woodlawn. These are all on the south side of Atwater.
Can the city work with the County on getting a contact form or system similar to uReport? There is no way to contact the county on a regular basis, let alone easily, without creation of an account in their new government online system and submitting a property complaint form. This puts too much of a burden on citizens or visitors who have inquiries, questions, complaints, feedback, etc. It is very difficult as a Monroe county citizen to get the same level of accountability and transparency from the commissioners and other departments.
Homeless camp at NW intersection of S Patterson/S Fairview St
There is a growing encampment of unhoused people behind my neighbor's property. Cars now park on the street to unload people and equipment regularly. The most recent incident occurred on Dec 8, 2023 at around 1:30pm. The car that dropped off people and supplies had an Indiana license plate of VE9322. People walked down my neighbor's driveway and through her yard to access the encampment. I assume this is trespassing and would like to report this incident.
2 vehicles without proper license plates or no license plates sitting around and/or driving on city streets
The number of broken streetlights along Rogers and Kinser Pike is absolutely unreal. I counted at least ten between 2nd and Upper Cascades. Please also fix the two broken lights at 4th/Gentry and 4th/College.
