Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my employer Hanapin Marketing. We currently reside in the Showers complex at 501 N. Morton Street, and our employees share the Showers Red Parking Lot with County employees. Over the last 6 months, we have all noticed a rise in crime in the parking lot, particularly with theft. I've attached several police reports that have been filed in the last few months to support these claims. These are the incidents that were reported to the police, however, there have been others as well that were never filed. For example, in early January one of our employees had his door handle ripped off his car entirely. We are hoping that the city will notice this trend and assist us in our request to advocate for higher security and/or additional patrols in that area to deter thefts. A man reported that the F word has been written on one of the silver box's (I assume one of the electrical units that controls street lights) at the corner of Kirkwood and Walnut. Right by the Ossip store and caddy corner to the bookstore.

Caller reported that there is a light at the corner of 10th and North Grandview drive that is flickering and going on and off. This causes them trouble when trying to sleep since the light comes in to their bedroom.

This is in regards to the 11/21/16 report I made. REQUEST # 11687264 Outdoor light located at 800 W Kirkwood Ave. has still not been repaired. It is in the same condition it was this fall. The light comes on for maybe 2 minutes at a time, then goes out for 10 minutes and starts the cycle again...first it flickers in an amber color and it at its full brightness for again, about 2 minutes. This is a main road in town and serves many people on foot. It is as unsafe as it is annoying. Please fix asap. Thank you!
