Sanitation website says all forms of styrofoam and milk cartons (waxy coating) are non-recyclable but our City recycling cart says that both may be recycled. Can you tell me which is correct?
Also, the weblink for emailing Sanitation on the sanitation page is broken.
Thank you,
Perry Metz

Hello, with the rain this past weekend, I was surprised that both of my containers, waste and recycling, had several inches of water in them. Apparently the lids do not close securely allowing rain to enter which deteriorates paper goods and trash if not in plastic.

Just a question: I can't find a definition of "yard waste" on the site. Is it strictly grass clippings and leaves and other yard waste or can I include other compostable items from the kitchen - banana peels, apple cores, etc?
thanks,
