I am a "Adopt a storm drain" volunteer and a problem is forming at the southeast intersection of Queensway and Chelsey Ct's storm drain. Blocks of broken pavement from freeze thaw are accumulating by the drain entry. I have been placing them next to the curb to prevent them from plugging the drain. There is a similar problem at the southwest corner as well but the volume of the pile is smaller. At some point these materials will need to be removed. Don Eggert
In the early morning, about 6am, when driving north on High Street toward the Hillside/Moores Pike light, the light does not recognize that a car is there. The east-west direction has a green light and the light will not change. It used to be that when you pulled up to the light from High Street, if no other traffic was there, it would turn to green quickly. When a car is coming south on High Street it may change, but not consistently. The sensor or something seems broken.
If you are heading west on 3rd street, and want to turn left into High Street, the left turn arrow lights do not turn on (neither green nor yellow). That is, the left turn lights to turn left onto High St from 3rd St do not turn on. This is pretty dangerous, since it's difficult to make a left turn without them.
Grimes Lane between Henderson and Woodlawn STILL is overgrown with weeds, leaves and debris. Filed a U-report 6 months ago, and was told it was "on the list." !!
The city came a couple weeks ago to fill in some potholes in front of our house/mailbox, but the potholes need to be filled in more. There is puddling in front of our mailbox where street parking should be possible, but it is not possible when there is even a bit of rain. More importantly, someone in a wheelchair rides right over that area of the road in a wheelchair onto our sidewalk leading to University Elementary School, where he works. The puddles make it hard to see how deep the pothole actually is. I would not want him to become injured trying to cross the public street on his way to/from work.
Potholes in front of the 6th Street Bloomingfoods
Pothole in front of the Salvation Army church on S Rogers. If you continue towards 8th Street, you will find several more.
The signal light at Third and High and Bryan is currently on a cycle that ignores actual traffic. It stays on Bryan for a super long time with no cars, and left signal from Third into High comes on for no cars
There are several potholes on the road I live on (Kerr Creek Road) that are right in the center of the road and are going to start damaging my car as well as other people’s. This road is on the left of 46 heading east. Really the whole road needs repaved.
