Re: street cleaning Good afternoon, I've noticed our neighborhood has not enjoyed the annual visit by the city's street sweeping/cleaning machines. As sand, grit, and debris continue to accumulate along the curbs, I wonder if Bloomington still uses the street sweepers, as this debris seems to be a common eyesore throughout various city locations. Potential water main leak? Water seeping out from roadway/curb at southeast corner of Allendale/Eddington intersection. Seepage has been going on enough to create algae/moss at seepage.
The curb is no longer sufficient to channel water into the nearby street drain. 2002 Ashwood Lane is located at the bottom of a hill where water from all of the Ashwood development, in The Stands, flows. The curb has been eroded away, and the majority of the water now flows into the driveway before reaching the city street drain. The result is flooding in the driveway and property of 2002 E Ashwood Lane. The curb needs to be repaired or rebuilt to handle the flow of water runoff to appropriately reach the city sewer drain.
Following up on case #210922. The plate is still here and now has profanity spraypainted on it.
Intense rain is creating runoff from the prevailing property (3220) into our yard and the neighbors yard (further downhill - strong sewer smell). This smell has been noticeable on the front of the property in previous rainstorms, this is the first time we've noticed the smell through into our yard and the neighbors.
My neighbors and I do not have running water
The stormwater drain on the street (east side) is crumbling and caving in. I placed the loose concrete on the hole to prevent things from falling in. Asphalt is also leaning in toward the drain.
While out on inspection of county storm sewer infrastructure along Curry Pike, our Stormwater Supervisor and a contractor discovered a leak where quite a bit of groundwater is entering the sanitary sewer.
Not sure which category this belongs under. Lots of gravel at the intersection of Grant and 11th Streets. Makes it difficult for bicycles to navigate across. Likely washed down 11th from the messy demolition site to the west.
