Washout/sinkhole beneath road surface next to storm drain.
Washout/sinkhole beneath road surface next to storm drain.
The asphalt on South Clark was recently repaired (I assume because of a recent water main break), and the new asphalt has sunk in somewhat. It's not clear that it's safe. This is on the street at the end of a driveway between 126 and 128 South Clark Street.
A storm drain down hill from the speedbump on this road is beginning to collapse. The blacktop directly in front of the drain has broken down, creating a large and growing hole in the roadway. This is not a pothole, the road had fallen through completely. This problem appears to be caused by vehicles driving around the newly installed speedbump. Before the road was repaved and the speedbump added, there were no issues with this storm drain. Thanks for your help.
Manhole is no longer able to be correctly and safely seated. My friend just fell down it, he is okay tho. It has also messed up my parents brand new Toyota and they are not happy. The picture I sent is it just sitting on top, if a car hits it in will turn and or flip.
Storm water grate at SE corner of Maxwell Lane/Highland Avenue is blocked.
On behalf of Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association---CBU drainage ditch requires maintenance--DEAD TREE REMOVAL, INVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL and TRASH REMOVAL. The tree snags pictured are located parallel on the east of side 1305 W 17th St. near the neighborhood Little Free Library. The ditch curves east on W 17th to the roundabout, where there is a trash problem. The ditch heads south all the to W. 16th & Hancock where if flows down from Crestmont Park. The entire area is full of Asian Bush Honeysuckle, an invasive species. I have more pictures, but I can only submit 1 photo on the U-Report. The big picture is that CBU owns a large portion of our huge block and it all needs some landowner attention and maintenance near W 17th St, Lindbergh St, corner of 16th & Hancock, and the roundabout. There is a hole at least 2-3 ft deep and 12 inches in diameter along the curb across from the apartments within roughly 5 ft or so to the right of the fire hydrant but before the yellow plastic coated wire (closer to Crescent Donuts location) that is very dangerous. I fell into the hole the other night while out on a trip to the gas station at around 12:45am on September 17, 2025.
Pipe has burst outside of the building and is spewing sewage everywhere.
Storm water drain is clogged causing large “pond” of water on the north side of Atwater and potentially a storm runoff problem for property owners that could lead to flooding basements.
I live north of town in Fairwood Terrace. Multiple people in the neighborhood, including myself, have reported problems with their water service. Water pressure is low. Not so low you can't take a shower but low enough that toilets don't flush and it takes awhile to fill a sink, let alone a bath tub. The water flowing out of the faucet stops every second or so then starts flowing again. Water pressure is significantly lower in mornings when people are up and getting about their day and again drops in the evening when people get home and perhaps start cooking meals, taking showers, etc. It is a little too soon to blame the problem on people watering grass and gardens. I called the Utilities department about the problem last week and was told I had a leak in my supply line and should call a plumber. I would be glad to do that and will anyway as the line to my house is some 60+ years old. But considering so many other people are having this problem it would be most appreciated if you could send someone out to investigate what's going on as there are too many with this issue for it to be supply ines to people's houses. We have many families int he neighborhood that really can't afford the $300+ bill to for a plumber to check their lines. I will even volunteer to pay a reasonable amount for the City to come out and check that the water supply is functioning properly. We could really use some help on this one. Dan Beeker
