Please comply with Municipal code Chapter 6.06 - GARBAGE AND WEEDS
The Street Department has told me repeatedly that Habitat St extends fully in front of 1417 W Habitat St, and the City of Bloomington will never reliquish right of way.
Chance may have told City officials that the property is completely his, but he had converted both the front and back of his lot to his own needs. The Indiana Railroad cleared his stuff off their right-of-way; the story was in the papers. The City did not check about the trash with adjacent property owners at 1407 or 1419 West 8th St.
In any case there are uncovered metal trash cans on City property, as well as a used tire. His trash still lines Habitat Street and the back of lot 1419 W 8th St. I have not been able to enjoy my back yard for years, and I anticipate another fine crop of mosquitoes to breed there each year, due to City inaction.
Can you fix it?

304 Hopewell, This Address has acquired quite a bit more trash that’s the last time I posted this issue. There Our boards big pieces of wood there are air conditioners and appliances in this yard there’s an aquarium there’s just all kinds of stuff that is not considered for use outside it’s just piled up junk I would appreciate it if you guys would actually and truly do something about it it’s aggravating it causes me embarrassment when people come over to my house. I consider this very negligent in the owner and in the city who virtually does nothing to fix the problem please make a difference

Apparently he didn't get the message. An open trash can is by the middle of his fence. A discarded tire is on City property at the east end of Habitat.
An old rug and some plastic bags were tossed into my yard from his side. The loose trash along Habitat is still there.
Please try again.

There is trash, appliances, toys, an RV full of items never used and a van that is packed with trash bags, among other things. If this isn't hoarding, it is close to it. I've complained numerous times through the years and nothing really gets done. They cover it with tarps and that's about it. I'd love to see this property cleaned and kept clean. It is an eye sore and it is bringing my property value down. I couldn't sell my property right now because no on wants to live next to that! I don't have a picture, but you can look at the satellite picture on Google Maps and see most of it. I can take a pic if necessary.

There are a lot of broken items or items that are NEVER used in the side yard and the back yard. This property is an eye sore and brings all of the surrounding property values down. The RV that sits in the drive way has not moved in FIVE+ years and is FULL of stored items.
