Dear John, I'd like to draw your attention to something that's happening at Walnut Grove apartment complex south of town. Somebody has recently bought it, is raising the rents, and economically challenged people are having to move out with nowhere to go. I run a food pantry there once a month and have gotten to know many of the people who live there and they are angry and frightened. What's happening there may be legal, but is certainly unethical. I understand that you are interested in creating low income housing, but this is a situation where low income housing is being flipped for a profit and leaving many people literally out in the cold. The people at 1317 W 6th St have a mountain of garbage building up in their front (and back?) yard. It smells and needs to be removed. This has been a continual problem with these residents.

Yard is covered in dog feces. All over, up to sidewalks, and owner does not clean. Tons near southeast area of property. This is a family neighborhood with kids and other dogs. This is a health hazards it's so bad

Garage door is almost fallen off of track, hanging to one side. Green moss/fungus growing all over front on west side of house. East side of house has cleaned graffiti markings that can still visibly say "Fuck You." House is one of Pendragon Properties' houses. How is Jeff Jones still allowed to rent in Bloomington after all these years of problems with him? How many court cases, HAND involvements, money owed does it take? Presumably, he most know someone. :( This really sucks having him in our neighborhood. The houses are always trashed, he treats his tenants like a slum lord would, and we all have to deal with are neighborhood going downhill because for whatever unjust reason, the city or courts can't probably deal with him. We don't want him or his business in this respectable, family neighborhood.

1301 Woodhill Dr and 815 S. Larkspur Ln, both owned by Pendragon Properties have been vacant for weeks now. It is common practice for Pendragon it seems to leave windows open (presumably because they turn off HVAC to save costs?), and it has been humid and rainy increasing the chances of Black Mold and other issues related to moisture. This is not something new, and has been observed on these same properties an others in the neighborhood numerous times over the years. They are currently showing the houses to rent to (i.e. scam) new tenants, and it seems best if people were informed of their problems or if possible for the houses to be inspected. (Presumably, knowing Pendragon, there are other problems as well.)

A few weeks ago someone spraypainted the side of this house. It appears that the vinyl siding was replaced with siding from the back of the house. Because now the back of the house is exposed. Besides this, the house has mold growing all along the side of the house. Horrible shape.

1 foot tall grass/weeds all along front of house by entrance way
