Growth impinging the sidewalk on the West side of Pete Ellis Drive near the gardens and Post office.

I was traveling east on 10th St. and got into the right-hand turn lane (with turn signal on) to turn right/south on Smith Road. As I turned right, a car facing north on Smith Road turned left to head west on 10th St. and did not see an oncoming car and the eastbound car on 10th street had to brake quickly to avoid an accident...stopping within a few feet of the turning car. With the new traffic light at the Post Office intersection on 10th st, GPS is routing more people east/west on 10th street to/from Smith Rd and more locals are also using this route. This is turning an already dangerous intersection more dangerous. Turning left off smith onto 10th street requires timing to avoid a car coming east around the curve on east 10th street...and the same for turning left onto Smith off 10th street. Please consider a stop light at this intersection. Thank You.

An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. Approximately 30 yards eastward from the stop sign at E Post Road and N Staats St, in the westbound lane of Post road, is a 12" wide by 33" long rectangular indentation originally dug by a contractor and then filled in. The fill has since subsided by one to two inches throughout. Hope it can be topped off to make a smoother street.

Hello, I am re-developing the property @ 3000 South Walnut. The location is where the former Southern Winds Hotel and Roosters club were located. The property at the beginning a workout facility and a chiropractors office. AS you pull out from the property and are going to turn left (North) and cross traffic, there are two trees located to the north on the side of the road. When cars are coming South and I am turning to the North, it is difficult to see whats coming and that is where the speed limit changes from 30 to 40mph, which is the place many seems to start speeding up. We will have more traffic than ever entering and leaving the property right from the beginning and even more as the property continues to be redeveloped overtime after the initial building and business's are active. A stop light right around there of course would be superb for the property but probably could never happen due to the traffic that occur that comes over the hill when people are traveling South down South Walnut. With that in mind I was hoping the two large trees could be taken down so it is much safer at that point because of the visibility that would open up. One tree is directly in from of the property and the other is directly in front on an older apartment complex that has around 10 apartments in it, it looks like. Would this be possible? Or maybe we could plant a couple new tress which would be much smaller and take several years to grow out? Of course that problem would show up again several years from now but it would take care of it presently for sevevral years. I am just worried about such a great new area being redeveloped for the area and future to have potential traffic issues with people being able to see when pulling out of the property. Resident reports excessive trash buildup and trash strewn across properties at Dollar General and CVS Pharmacy off of South Walnut. Resident has contacted both companies and was told to call the Office of the Mayor.

Our department has an office located at 2599 Fountain Drive. We saw notice today of planned closure at the intersection of Fountain Drive and Crescent Drive. We wanted to be sure there is a semi-accessible detour to reach our building. We have a large project in the month of July that will involve a semi delivering materials to our space over the course of several weeks. Thank you!
