708 West 8th St. (corner of 8th & Fairview St.) is rarely mowed, is overgrown with invasives- in the front and sidewalk- trees like Chinese elm, poison ivy, Asian bush honeysuckle are growing out of a limestone wall falling onto the sidewalk part on Fairview. Come August kids will walk to school and the whole legnth of that sidewalk including the house on 9th and Fairview has plants coming onto the sidewalk.

The weeds at this address are taller than people. You can't walk down the sidewalk in the area because its so overgrown. The yard has been overgrown for at least five years now and it appears to be an ongoing issue. The overgrown yard is also creating safety hazards, such as blocking sidewalks, obstructing visibility for drivers, and attracting pests, including rats and raccoons. overgrown yard might be violating. The brush along the sidewalk has encroached so much that I have to step into the street in a few places. I’m sure the adjacent property is owned by the railroad. Can we clean it up and charge them? This area could use attention by Brighten BTown - the weeds are really tall along the curbs, and there have been many car accidents, but no follow up by a street sweeper.
