The tulip poplar planted along the S High St recreational path last autumn is showing no signs of life this spring. All of the other tulip poplars in the area are now fully leafed out. This is the last tree in the row that includes the yellowwoods north of Wimbleton St. Would love for it to be replaced this year. Thanks.

In the first three months of 2022, we had a number of workers (it seems from various companies) over about 2 months showing up to put up a new power pole in our backyard. We did not request this. One group, when asked said that someone would be back to take down the old pole which was marked with 2 large Xs in white paint (an eyesore). No one every came. At one point, one crew took down part of our back fence and ran equipment over the property line killing our ground cover and grass and killing a rhodendrum bush. I called Duke Energy weeks ago to inquire, but they never got back to me.

The vegetation along Smith Ave from Euclid to Walker is out of control AGAIN. It overgrows into both sides of Smith so cars get scratched. If you want to turn onto Smith from Buckner you CANNOT see East on Smith to know if a car is coming West on Smith. Going East and West on Smith, the same problem occurs both directions on Davisson. This is a chronic problem every year. I believe Smith is platted as 16 feet wide, but there is definitely not that much clearance. I also believe there is city law that says vegetation should be cut back 3 feet from the street edges. If owners would cut their vegetation back one foot from the paved edge of Smith it would be a lot better. I'd appreciate contact from you after you look into this. Thank You!! Bradford Pear has split and blocking most of roadway
One of the new street trees planted by the city after the completion of the new north extension of the Jackson Creek Trail last fall has unfortunately died, and should be replaced. It is sending up suckers at the base, but I don’t think a large shrubby plant is what was intended. Tree is near the property line of the house on High and the house on the corner facing Wimbleton. Big rock at tree plot and alley in front of this property has been knocked into the sidewalk r/o/w. It has been obstructing the sidewalk for over a month
Due to parked cars on east & west sides of Dodds, it is challenging to see oncoming traffic to turn left or right off of S. Dunn. Especially during rush hour, I’ve had several close calls with oncoming cars. A 4-way stop would be very helpful there. Or limiting parking on Dodds.
