The neighbor at this location has been burning some kind of wood or other object repeatedly. It is causing consistent health issues for all of us who live at our house nearby. The smoke is so strong that when we walk outside, my mother immediately begins to have coughing fits. We have consulted the neighbor on this issue multiple times, but he continues to burn illegally in his back yard. We cannot see where the fire is, but the smoke comes to our house.
There are no fire exits in this store. Every exit door, other than the front door is completely blocked with filled shelves of merchandise. And the store is for children and moms. If there was a fire in the front of the store, or an active shooter event, there is no exit and no exit signs.
I worked there. They got deep fryer machine and wok. Someone installed those. Someone is not qualified to install them. When I work, I got fire. Did you check hood width? Have you checked under the hood? Is there a gas stove, wok, oil deep fryer under the hood? And is there fire suppression each equipment????? Is there fire suppression on the gas stove? POWER LINES HERE ARE SHORTED AND **THROWING SPARKS**. We have reported this to Duke and they have chosen to ignore it instead of restoring AC to Vinergar Hill houses.
In the alley between 909 and 911 S Madison St., a property owner (909) is running an electrical line (extension cord) from their home across the alley to send power to an above ground pool. The wiring lays across hot asphalt and is covered by old carpets. This is an unsafe method for provide electricity to a separate property, and poses risks of fire in the neighborhood.
JB Salvage. Looks like illegal burning. Smells like plastic/rubber.
