When making a right turn into Winslow Sports Complex from South Highland Avenue, there is a large fir tree right on the corner. This tree blocks any view of pedestrians or bikers on the sidewalk directly behind the tree. This is a problem mainly for turning right rather than turning left into the area. I have personally had several incidents where we are turning into the area from the road and have had to stop unexpectedly to allow pedestrians to walk by. Although there is a small "caution" sign post there, it seems inadequate and unsafe regardless. My proposal is to cut down this large fir tree in order to create a safer environment for both drivers and pedestrians at this well-frequented corner.

There is a big piece of steel rebar sticking out of the sidewalk near the eastern entrance to 2427 E 2nd Street. It's become a safety issue for cars and pedestrian as many kids walk through there to get to the elementary school. Unsure if since it's an IU office if it's IU property? Thank you for investigating and potentially resolving.

I work at Smallwood Plaza. Recently the traffic pattern on 8th street was changed from a one way to a two way. The city left a sign at the exit of our garage indicating that there had been a traffic change. (thank you). However we noticed after this weekend that someone had driven over the sign you provided so we brought it into the building. We have it here at the leasing office if you'd like to retrieve during our regular business hours. I just don't want us to be held responsible for damaging city property or not reporting/returning damaged property.

The median on Second Street and I-69 is overgrown with weeds. Plus the street sweeper is to clear debris. I contacted the Mayor office and was directed to your site. Not a very good first look for our city. Thanks

An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. Last week my grandmother, Linda Gast, was walking near the Crescent Park Condos on John Hinkle Place across from the post office. She tripped on uneven sidewalk and fell and broke her arm. This break required an ED visit and surgery that included a metal plate and several screws. This sidewalk is near Bell Trace, where she lives, and a lot of older people are using the sidewalks in this area. We would really like to see some attention given to this sidewalk in order to prevent others from being injured.

The north side of 13th Street between Indiana and Fess has an old limestone masonry sidewalk, maybe from the 1950s (?) It is interesting for historic reasons - it looks like it matches the sidewalks that flank Lincoln between 10th and Cottage Grove - but parts of it have degraded to a point that it is now a bit awkward to walk on it, especially at night. (It is definitely not ADA-complaint.) Is there an office in town dedicated to historic preservation that could commission a team of masons to redo this sidewalk? There is a concrete sidewalk just east of this block that appears to match the pattern, but it is poured concrete with pattern-pressed and actually looks a little comical, as if it is trying to be something that it is not. Also, a side note: there is no sidewalk on the south side of 13th Street in this block. If there were one there (especially ADA-compliant), people could more safely walk from campus to "The Standard" along that street.

Staff from our office recently received a complaint from an adjacent lend owner, concerning sediment being carried onto their property from your lot. Upon being inspected, your property did indead have some erosion occuring. It is a violation of state law and county land use ordinance for dediment to be carried off of you property and onto an adjacent land owner's.
