Citizen says driver of trash truck was speeding through Blue Ridge this morning, ignoring stop signs. Says this should not be allowed, especially when it is so slick out and people are pulling out of their driveways.
Mr. Bailey called concerning the signs on N. Dunn. He said that there have been several accidents lately that have knocked down the signs on the curves. He also would like the City to pursue a correction for the road. He would support closing of Dunn in that area. He said to contact the new president of the Homeowners Assoc. Larry Grubb. He also stressed that brush along the road needs to be constantly trimmed.
The problem is actually in the sharp curve on Ramble Road East as soon as you come in off of North Dunn Street. There are bushes/tree limbs that have overgrown into the street causing drivers to go over into the oncoming lane. This is a problem in this sharp curve when you cannot see someone coming the other direction.
As you come off of N. Old ST RD 37 onto Blue Ridge Drive there are tree limbs that have overgrown into the street causing a problem for bicycle riders as well as drivers.
Complainant believes construction company's sign is too large and placed withing the R.O.W.
Laurie has not seen 1 city truck in Blue Ridge to put sand on their streets. Laurie only has 2 ways of exiting the neighborhood, 1 exits to Walnut, the other to Dunn. There are many steep hills that pose a particular problem, especially where Blue Ridge Dr. and Blue Slopes Dr. intersect. There's a 3 way stop where these streets meet, where children wait for the bus. It's just matter of time before a child is hit b/c of uncontrollable sliding. Also, she has spoken to Jason Banach about this.
Ms. Johnson has a problem with water running into her yard from the street. She wants a curb installed.
