Ms. Marchant included a photo of large pile of leaves to explain why she could not possibly bag her leaves but that they need to be picked up by city trucks. (FYI--Letterhead stated address as "woodscrest" however, GIS only shows Woodcrest, hence the difference between location address and citizen address.)
Owns 4 rental properties in Woodlawn/Hunter area. Wants street posted no parking before leaf collection crews come thru. Impossible to get leaves if you don't. City makes them plant street trees, city should maintain them.
Crews came by yesterday and collected leaves from front of house as scheduled. He hasn't had time to rake the leaves from the back of the house. Upset that we won't come back for them.
People should be REQUIRED to rake their leaves. His neighbor just lets his sit there and they all blow onto his lawn after he's already taken care of his. He's a DAV and can't keep up with this. Neighbor's leaves also clog the storm drains.
Why won't city pick up leaves in Longview mobile home park? There are many older people there who need the service. Ms. Jackson plans to go to the media re this situation.
Ms. Bates watched the leaf removal crew and was upset by the fact that it took 7 or 8 people to run 2 or 3 trucks. The collection process was not efficient at all. Too many employees were standing around and no work was being done.
