Constituent (Phil Eskew, 812-327-5360) called to complain of overgrowth along the Polly Grimshaw Trail, near Eastgate Lane. I confirmed the problem with a site visit. Can crews be sent to cut back overgrowth?
Resident reports that he entered the bus station to purchase a ticket and was met by a hostile employee who yelled profanity at him and refused him service.
Resident reports bus stop at 3rd and Patterson contains empty whiskey bottles, trash and human waste. Reported calling Transit yesterday and being sent to voicemail with no response.
"Dear Mr. Hamilton, As my council representative has been ineffective and unsuccessful in dealing with this problem, I am calling on your office for help. For over two years the resident of 1316 South Palmer Avenue has been running a used car lot at his house. There are usually no less than six cars parked in front of his house and across the street from his house at any one time. At least one or two usually have no plates. In addition, his yard is a total mess. He doesn't care about the trash that accumulates in it. If this were a problem in Elm Heights, it would have been taken care of in one day. I understand that one can sell a car from one's property, but this man needs to find a lot that is zoned for selling multiple used cars, and move his business to that place. Please help in moving this used car lot from our street. It is an eye sore and it brings down my property value. Received an anonymous voice mail in ESD with a phone # 317-468-3545. He is complaining of a potential business going in at this address where there are tents & smokers in the back. His main complaint is the smoke generating from this location is annoying to the neighbors. Reported written by Susan Coates.
I just took possession of a home I bought as sidewalk construction on E. Morningside was being completed. The home is at 4021 E. Morningside. It is my understanding the City redid part of the driveway after having to destroy it for sidewalk work. Unfortunately it appears a corner of the drive (front right / SE) is already cracking/chipping/spalling (see photo). I'm requesting the City patch this up before it continues to flake (not huge now but would like addressed so as not to spread) as an area driven over frequently. Otherwise looks fantastic and very happy with the new sidewalk and drive portion. Great neighborhood addition.

A contractor (possibly PCT?) installing a utility pole at NW corner of Lincoln and Smith is blocking the alley and blocking parking on private property.
Caller said that semi's are taking w 17th to N Lismore Dr to W Marquis Dr. They are getting stuck and running over curbs. Also getting stuck and N Crescent Rd onto Fountain. Wants to know why they are routing them that way.
