Trash is piled up by the house not in carts.
The trash is piling up at the curb and under the carport for weeks and we have been writing them up but nothing has changed.
Our crew was there this morning and found a horrible mess. It appears the tenants have moved out. I have a picture but I feel this is something that needs to be dealt with ASAP.
Rhea Carter sent pictures of overflowing garbage at Killion Building Apartments, 308 W 2nd. See parking lot.
Rhea reported today excess trash at 315 W. 16th.
Rhea reported via email excess trash/litter at 411 E 10th St.
This location is another mess. It has been this way for weeks.
Inspected the site and the intersection of 2nd and Rogers street markings are worn and not visible. Unsure of the possibility of repainting at this time but could be placed as a priority intersection.
CBU engineering was contacted by Dagnija Berzins who resides at 1509 South Huntington on 7.26.13 regarding damage to her hot water heater as the result of a “flash flood” on 7.23.13. Ms. Berzins said water over-topped the storm ditch and entered her house, damaging her hot water heater in the process. Ms. Berzins quoted $800 as the estimated figure to replace the hot water heater. Ms. Berzins claims the piping designed and installed by the City is too small and therefore, the City is at fault. Legal spoke with Ms. Berzins’ son and instructed him to file a tort claim. CBU indicated to Ms. Berzins we would send someone to look at the pipes and ditch in question.
