Two large storm drains in my back yard have significant erosion around them. The worse one (pictured) has a foot wide by 5 foot long by 2 feet deep hole next to it where stormwater is entering this hole rather than entering into the drainage system. I'm afraid to mess with it myself, so I was hoping that the city can either take care of it or give me guidance on what to do.
There is a tree between the road and sidewalk to the east of our driveway with a large limb partially broken and hanging low towards the ground. It occurred during a recent storm. It needs to be cut to be removed and is too high for us to reach.
Stones from the wall along the sidewalk keep falling into the sidewalk. These are large stones and create a tripping hazard, especially for someone with impaired vision or during low light conditions. The landlord does nothing to address the problem which has been going on for a long time and is getting worse. Passers-by sometimes try to get the stones out of the way, but they keep falling back onto the sidewalk.
Light not consistently on
Would it be possible to extend the time the Switchyard Park Splash Pad is open on Food Truck Fridays during the summer? The splash pad closed at 8pm on Friday but it was still very bright out and very hot. Extending the splash pad operating time an extra half hour to an hour might encourage individuals to stay at the parks a little longer together building a stronger community and more business for the food trucks. Thank you for your consideration.
Severe flooding occurred again tonight, June 29, 2025, worse than any prior event here since we moved here 4 years ago. Water rose rapidly and reached homes well beyond the creek. The creek now flows over the entire road southward. I had to warn neighbors up to three houses away to move their cars. I believe the house across the street has flooded. A neighbor called the city Friday (two days ago) asking for culvert clearing, but no one came. No progress has been shared on the engineering case either, despite past assurances. This is a FEMA floodplain, and repeated failures to maintain infrastructure are now causing widespread risk. Photo attached. More documentation available.
Be hazard for pubic there anything park staff can do clean this up
I can’t speak for all my neighbors , but the maple trees on Xavier Ct near my home appear to be diseased.. They are loosing bark and have some dead limbs.
The sidewalks at 2404 and 2410 E Covenanter Drive are being pushed up several inches by tree roots. Can they be filed down to make the sidewalk less jagged, or be painted to indicate the tripping hazard? Thank you!
