On the trail through the middle of Bryan Park, just east of the boardwalk, there is a low hanging branch. It's even lower when it's wet. It's too low to safely bike under it and even someone who is not tall has to duck to walk under it. It should be taken down.

Washington Street just south of Smith where there was construction last summer, the street still needs to be fixed. Last fall you said it was too cold for asphalt repair. It's been warm enough for a while now. It's especially bad in the bike lane.

Pulling out of this alley either direction onto Woodlawn is a hazard, especially for pedestrians and bicyclists. To the right (on Subway/apartment bldg. side) is shrubbery that completely blocks the view of the sidewalk and street. Approaching it from the alley, we can't see if any vehicles or pedestrians are approaching from the north, traveling south. To the left of the alley is a rental house that has a shrub or tree or some other type of greenery that hangs far enough forward that we can't see what's approaching from the south, traveling north. We must ease our vehicles out into the street in order to see what's coming on Woodlawn in either direction. If we're turning right (to head north) when we ease out into the street for visibility, when we see that it's clear to turn onto Woodlawn it forces the front half of the vehicle to swing into the southbound lane. The shrub to the right of the alley (Subway building) needs to be trimmed drastically or removed altogether for safety's sake since the view of pedestrians and vehicle/bicycle traffic is completely blocked. And the tree/bush on the other side of the rental house to the left needs to be trimmed back enough for visibility. This alley is used daily by many. It contains IU parking spaces and parking for residential rental property, and U.S. Mail vehicles travel it daily for delivery. A colleague reported this to the city last year and nothing came of it.

A residential Parking Sign is improperly inserted into the ground causing it to be slanted at a 30 degree angle. This is almost blocking my driveway and causing the roof of my car to scratch it. Can you please re-dig this sign in the ground so that it's' straight? The sign itself is not damaged, it's just not properly inserted into the ground. Thanks. Kent Rerko 910 S. Manor Rd. Hi, I contacted the city last week about a stop sign on 2nd and Ballantine that is completely covered by a tree. It is a danger as it should be a 4 way stop, but people don't see it and will fly through it. Please get the tree trimmed so it doesn't cover up the stop sign. Thank you. Best, Ingrid

Hello: I was in communication with Christina Smith last fall regarding a street light that needs to be installed on S. Fess Ave. Preferably 821 S. Fess Ave., as that is the middle of the block. The 800 block of S. Fess is totally pitch black, unless there is a full moon. I'm not sure why this completely dark street, with two homebound senior citizens living on it (my neighbors), hasn't become a priority for a street light. Please consider taking care of this soon. This is a continuing problem at 601 S. Woodlawn (the address above is as close as I could get on your map). Two weeks ago two large dead trees were causing a hazard, dropping limbs. Trees are covered with vines but have been dead for a long time. They continue to drop dead limbs. There is also a bad patch of poison ivy near the sidewalk, creating yet another hazard.

The sidewalk is covered with a think layer of run off gravel from the alley. Can this be cleaned up and something done to prevent this from continually happening?
