Our street, which is sloped downward from Dunn to N. Walnut, has water sluicing down Glendora in even a light rain. We have no storm drains or infrastructure to handle heavy rains except for the ditches some residents have dug on their own properties. I have such a ditch at 311 Glendora, and it runs very full and fast when it rains, keeping the street from flooding even more than it always does. My ditch has asphalt that is full of holes, so it needs patching- but that will only be a bandaid on what is a much larger problem... the fact that our neighborhood has no stormwater infrastructure. This causes basements to flood, and even one resident's basement wall to collapse under the floodwaters pouring down from Dunn St. Please contact me for more information, or direct me to the person who can help us. Poison ivy growing from lawn is dangling over retaining wall into sidewalk. West sidewalk on Madison, just north of intersection with Smith. Some of the poison ivy is disguised by adjacent Virginia Creeper.

Tree adjacent to east sidewalk on Fairview (near intersection with Howe) is covered in poison ivy. The poison ivy is dangling over the sidewalk at face- and shin-height. I unfortunately realized this was poison ivy the hard way. The vines appear woody and hardy, its leaves are very large, and it seems to be fruiting. Please remove before someone else walking on the sidewalk brushes by it and has a serious reaction to contacting the plant.

Light trespass and glare. See photo, 3 meters from the property line. The nuisance light on the south side is so bright it is this visible in bright daylight on a sunny day, over a meter in from the property line. At night it exceeds the criteria for light trespass in the municipal code: ii. Light Trespass. All lighting fixtures shall be installed so that light trespass from any property line, except a property line abutting a public street, shall not exceed two footcandles at a point one meter beyond the property line. Also violated: shall be fully shielded so that the lighting element is not visible to an observer at any property line, except as stated otherwise in this Section 20.04.090 (Outdoor Lighting). ii. Unless otherwise specified, all lighting fixtures shall be full cutoff type as installed.

I was walking past the Crew Carwash while cars were being pre-treated on the front of the cars with bug and tar remover. The wind was blowing the mist from the chemical used for this, straight at me. Some bug and tar pre-treatments at car washes can contain acids and refined petroleum chemicals. Although many contain citris, they usually can also cary chemicals that can cause reprirory and skin issues. I noticed that there is no protective wall that was installed to protect pedestrians and I belive that such a wall is common practice with businesses that do not wish to expose pedestrians to their car wash chemicals. Even if it were merely a strong car wash soap spray, this too can be a health risk to pedestrians who inhale this as they walk past a car wash.

Gridlock at the 4th street parking garage. Have been stuck on the 4 th level for over 30 minutes. Concerned that my prepaid parking fee won't be valid and will have to pay more to get out?
