Traffic Signals

Case Date:
7/22/2016

Northbound side of Rogers Street and Country Club Drive (cars waiting between that nasty abandoned gas station and the country club fence): the west-bound left turn onto Country Club green arrow lights up regardless there being any cars in the left-turn lane. I see this various times of day (when I'm in the north-bound lane on Rogers). Perhaps there's no sensor in the road, but thought I'd bring it up.

Sidewalk Requests

Case Date:
7/24/2016

Requesting a sidewalk connecting the Arlington pedestrian crossing overpass with the sidewalk along Gourley Pike West of Kinser Pike. The blind curve on Gourley Pike on this route makes it especially hazardous for me in my power wheelchair given my need to operate clear of the roadway edge due to rollover hazard and inability to yield to oncoming traffic by exiting the motorway.

Lisa Merchant 502.939.6538 called to express concern about homeless/transient population on Kirkwood becoming more assertive and aggressive. Daughter (rising IU junior) works at Pitaya and is approached daily, including being asked outright for her take-out food container yesterday. Lisa called BPD and was told that police hands are tied due to the city's stance on the issue. She said she worries that her daughter will be unsafe while walking to her car after work once it gets dark earlier, and suggests that a reserve BPD officer be available to "walk girls to their cars" after sundown. Just wants to be added to the broader list of concerns about city homeless.
