Was walking to the parking garage after class and when I came into the stairwell two homeless people were at the bottom of the steps. One had a needle in her hand getting ready to shoot whatever she had and the other man sitting watch. This situation is extremely dangerous and not right for the public to see just going to class. Please get your shit together

There are two vehicles that have been parked in the McDonalds parking lot for over a month. The blue van is not in a parking spot but in the yellow lines for the edge of the spots and a white cargo van next to it. The white van has no plates and the blue vans plates are from Alabama and expired plates. I have seen the blue van sliding door open for multiple days in a row and now am seeing people just randomly going up to the vehicle. It is attracting homeless people to the area in which the AAA dumpster has had suitcases left in the dumpster area only left for others to retrieve. Not sure if drugs are involved but they are making me nervous to come to work and leave my car out there.

For uReports- can we please consider adding a category specifically for reporting encampments or unsafe/unsanitary situations near public areas. Being homeless is not a crime, I understand, but addressing encampments is one of the largest issues facing the city and there is no way to directly report them. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have faced a lot of, (problem(s)/issue(s)), while being (homeless/transient), in, (local: (City/Town(s)), (esp. Central Indiana, South-Central Indiana), (some/all) of which, are stated: (temporary/conditional) trespass advisories, from (local:(City/Town(s)), (pvt./non-profit, etc.) establishment(s), (year(s):(2015/'16) onward(s)), which has become, (of, recent times), inconvenience to me, (personally), (since, due to, no(fixed) earned income source(s), I don't (presently) have a (fixed/stabilized) place to stay, (e.g. (rental) apartment(s), residential unit(s), etc.), and as a result, I do not have (legal) access to, (fundamental) necessitated (indoor) space(s), (e.g. (restroom/(with/without) shower facility), cooling center(s), etc.). I would be obliged, if my, (afore)-mentioned (problem(s)/issue(s)) are addressed , (at least , by the beginning of the bitterly-cold (U.S) Mid-western winter season, (yr.2024-'25), Thanking You, Yours sincerely, Ms. Diya B.((email):[email protected])

Suggestion for BACC. The Bloomington Shelter has been adopting pets out to homeless individuals. In many occasions dogs have been found tied up outside stores while the owner is inside. Would like to suggest that the shelter provide these individuals wirh collars that have contact info embroidered and maybe something that says they will be right back. It’s very distressing to come across an animal tied up with no understanding of why. I think it would be worth the investment to help avoid unnecessary shelter inductions. Maybe a patch type collar is available with messages. If something was on the collar where one wouldn’t have to touch the dog to identify would be best gbut even a tag with info would help. Thanks for your consideration.
