Countryside & Rockport Hills
The Street Department received a complaint from a citizen regarding the high grass and weeds on the north side of Country Club Drive next to Rose & Walker Drywall. This area is next to the railroad tracks.
Broadview resident feels bridge and pedestrian path between Walnut and Rogers is a hazard and needs to be more pedestrian friendly. Asked that weeds be cut so people don't have to walk in street to get over bridge. More gravel is needed on path. Questioned when other improvements will be made.
Illegal Sign. Work at Home. NW Corner of S. Walnut and W. Country Club Rd.
Mr. Craig called and said that tree limbs need to be picked up at the corner of Countryside and Thompson Park Dr. He said they're on a strip of ground owned by Redevelopment. The neighborhood association apparently cut the branches because they were blocking the sidewalk. The limbs are stacked between two trees on the strip of land.
The 1000 block of country side lane (Rockport Hills) has 5-6 vacant lots. The lots are full of weeds and trash.
Reddish old truck without plates & cracked windshield. Was on Cutter Ct. & police asked owner to move it - he did & now it's on undeveloped land on Countryside Lane & has been there for over 1 month.
There are 3 long vacant lots across from 1019 Countryside Lane that have weeds 2 feet long.
909 and 917 W Cardinal Court Neither property owner has mowed their property on the south side of the "creek" in 2022. Grass, weeds, and overgrowth are now as tall as the fences of the owners who DO maintain their properties on the south side of the creek. Multiple uReports were submitted against 909 W Cardinal Court in 2021 for this same issue and nothing was done (the debris remains today, with animals using it as their den). This complaint is being filed by multiple property owners on Countryside Lane.
