The sidewalks near the post office on the east side are not clear for days. I don’t know if the city can enforce parking lots but their parking lot there is pretty slick too. I nearly fell a couple days ago. The people living in the thousands of apartments close right here are walking in the streets because the postoffice has done nothing to the 10th street or Pete Ellis Drive sidewalks.
Sidewalk next to Target and Target parking lot at College Mall is blocked, making my walking impossible and bus stop is blocked next to Target parking lot
Please shovel paths for pedestrians to get through massive snow mounds to cross at any intersection. We walkers take our lives into our hands, in all that traffic.
a foot of snow on sidewalk, still untouched after 8 days. people have to walk in the street
The sidewalks have not been sufficiently cleared on Dunn St, so the students are walking in the street to get to the bus at the stadium, which is a safety concern.
Full House Fitness gym thinks the city is responsible for shoveling the snow on the sidewalk in front of the gym when I’m pretty sure they are. I walk that way daily with my two year old and I’m tired of walking in the street (Elm Street). Please go talk to them, they were very rude with me when I tried to. Thanks so much. Also, Girls Inc right next to the gym also hasn’t done their sidewalk on Elm street. So frustrating for us walkers especially with strollers and young kids. You’d think both these businesses would be trying harder to to make walking safe for children and families…
On 10th Street starting from about N Park Ave at least N Indiana Ave there is very heavy pedestrian use yet these sidewalks have not been cleared and pedestrians are resorting to walking along the side of the road. This is very dangerous for pedestrains and drivers as well.
Why does the city not enforce its rules on clearing snow from sidewalks, through fines? I understand that old people in residential areas can't always clear snow. But I'm talking about businesses. I tried to walk on the sidewalk up Walnut from Hillside to 2nd street today on the east side of the street (1/27), it was not possible. There are a ton of businesses here who do not follow the rules, and it's a huge hazard because now we have to walk on the street itself, which is crazy busy. I mean you, Elkins Properties, I mean you, auto dealership, I mean you, Btown Smoketime, and even the post office! Why are these people not fined? The are businesses, cleaning the sidewalk it a part of doing business, they should be held accountable. Thank you for your attention
Sidewalk needs shoveled between South High School and Timber Ridge. Kids are having to walk in the street going to school
