Potholes, Other Street Repair

In the intersection of Rogers & Country Club, roughly in the south bound lane of Rogers on the south side of the intersection, there are multiple holes in the road. They appear they may have been cut or are missing some sort of covers, but they are a problem that needs addressed.

Just after the light, headed east, there's a big square patch much lower than the road surface. Its on the right hand side of the lane and people swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid it. I don't think it's a pothole, maybe an old drain or a utilities hole.

The flashing left turn meant for those turning left from northbound SR45/46 onto West 17th Street is not functioning during regular day hours. I've seen it functioning late at night, but I assume its a different signal sequence meant to handle lower traffic volume considering the time of day. This issue is very inconvenient during morning and midday hours that are either before or after usual rush hours when there is nobody coming southbound on SR 45/46, but I can't make a left turn because there is no flashing yellow arrow.

Walkway still blocked by snow plowed up by city plow from E. State Ct. alley a week after, with all other walkways clear. Please do not plow up more snow from E. State Court to block this walkway in new snowfalls. See my Ureport #207038; Earlier Ureport #207011 of same problem said walkway is not city-maintained. Okay, but it is a paved, well-used walkway, and a city plow should not be blocking it with huge snow piles.

The newly installed concrete bicycle barriers on S Rogers between 2nd street and 1st street need to have florescent signals warning drivers they are there. That street has NOT been repainted either. Yesterday (12/09/25), I ended up driving up the side of the one. Driving to work, it looked like there was street paint and once I realized it was too late, they came out of nowhere almost as if they were in the middle of the road. Today (12/10/25), I made sure to look out for them, but had to swerve once I came up close to it. It has been HORRIBLEY installed. This has to be the worst street project I've ever seen. This concrete barrier installment is a danger to drivers, especially in the morning and night. They need to either be removed or have fluorescent tags on them warning drivers, along with repainted the street with yellow lines. I can guarantee that I am not the only driver who has done this.

Two items:
1) street signs have been down here for over a year and have been reported. If this was a different core neighborhood these would have been replaced in a more timely manner.
2) these roundabouts and various “traffic calming” items that bike/ped role is popping up and putting throughout communities are not equitable in design. Why are these and other lower income areas only being given primarily concrete or similar design. We want equitable design and vegetation like the roundabout for renwick. Why is our neighborhood treated worse because of historic inequities? It seems this outreach group never actually listens to all voices for planning changes. We want equitable design and implementation, not just ugly “solutions” that are in reaction to an accident.
