Water stands here taking up half the lane when driving toward Walnut. It happens every time it rains.
Sewer pipe for future building broken off and sewage coming out. I have put a bucket over the pipe to help contain as much as possible. Also, the pump station is flooded.
As of 11:30AM 12/18/25, the is a lot of water collecting at the corner northeast corner of N Walnut and 9th Street. A drain may be blocked. It is covering a good portion of the right lane. Thank you.
Complete failure to clear snow and ice from public sidewalk.
Both of these locations have slushy, icy sidewalks today, days after the snow stopped falling. I know it will melt soon, but it should have been cleared days ago, especially on a major pedestrian walkway. Thank you.
Sunday afternoons, even in the downtown area, should be a chance the peaceful enjoyment the premises of one's own abode. Today, however, the noise from the sidewalk musicians who are somehow sponsored by the record store on the east side of Walnut just south of Sixth Street, makes any peaceful enjoyment impossible. I have my windows shut, even though I should be able to have them open on a day as warm as this, and even though the windows are shut, the noise is quite intrusive. Does Bloomington not have a prohibition against this kind of use of the public right of way? Don't you need a permit, or can any business just say: Hey come play the drums and electric guitar out in front of my shop? More maybe they do have a permit. If they do, they should post it so everyone can see that it is allowed. I understand a certain amount of weird noises are part and parcel of downtown living. But this seems like an abuse of the downtown public sphere. Thanks for whatever you are able to do to help make downtown Bloomington actually livable.
Trash and recycle were missed in the neighborhood this morning. They are usually here by 7:30 am
My driveway was damaged by a snowplow during snow removal last week. A large portion of the driveway was removed such that the driveway base is now exposed and will easily erode further without repair. I live in Red Oak Estates at 3078 East Mattatha Dr. I have multiple pictures but could not attach more than one.
