People park illegally on my residential street every time the church has a service. Sometimes this happens on Friday at 2pm, including today. I typically use the street to park, legally, with my residential permit. These illegal parkers take up all the space so I have to park somewhere else. It is very annoying.
Please improve snow plowing ALL intersections and ALL streets especially around corners and turning lanes. It’s hazardous driving because vehicles won’t and don’t stay in their lane because of improper snow removal. I understand it’s a bunch of snow but removing it from the streets we all drive through could have been removed more effectively for safety reasons. I never understood why the snow plows come out for one day. They should be out every day clearing up our streets of snow, slush, & ice for safer driving in our community.
The streets in Spicewood still have considerable snow and ice and are difficult to safely drive, particularly E Roundhill Lane and the side roads / cul-de-sacs off of Roundhill. Thank you!
There are multiple pot holes on Dunn between the bypass and 17th Street that are causing traffic to swerve as drivers try to miss them. Most are in the north bound lane, but both lanes have hazardous pot holes.
Sowder Sq hasn't seen a snowplow in many days. It got kind of a cursory plow maybe 5 or 6 days ago, but nothing since. There's several inches of ice and compacted snow built up on the street now.
The left turn lane headed south on Washington at the 3rd Street intersection is completely blocked. The city should go evaluate the situation. Maybe send a plow truck or other equipment to clear the street. The snow stopped a week ago.
The street at Jordan’s Way in Hyde Park is snow covered with 2-3 inches of snow. The road could use a couple passes with a plow at this point. Th ensuring streets are clear to the road. Jordan’s Way is slick and snow covered.
The east corner of Walnut and Grimes has a large pile of snow in the roadway. Impossible to turn without going into oncoming traffic.

Dear City of Bloomington, I want to begin by acknowledging the hard work and efforts of city employees during recent winter weather events. That work does not go unnoticed. However, the unfinished road conditions across the city are concerning. We are now over a week past the most recent snowfall, and many major roads within city limits remain uncleared or only partially cleared. Several roads still have lane blockages, inconsistent clearing, and obstructions that pose potential safety risks and increase the likelihood of accidents. When traveling in from surrounding rural areas, I expected conditions to be worse; however, county and state-maintained roads have been consistently attended to. Crews have been out daily addressing problem areas and ensuring all lanes—including shoulders—are cleared and returned to normal operating conditions. I respectfully ask that the City review the current road conditions within Bloomington and take the necessary steps to bring major roadways back to a safe and fully functional standard for residents and commuters.
