overhanging vegetation, not being mowed, falls out into sidewalk area on Cottage Grove side of building
516 and 518 E. 1st Street is a duplex and they have a trash problem in which they put up a fence so you cannot see it from the road, but Heidi said you can see it from her house and has given us permission to go on her property to see the trash. She said that they are now throwing their beer cans and cigarette packets into her yard.
grass very high and has not been mowed this year
Construction trash building up that owners keep adding to for the past 6 months. Cylinder blocks, wood, broken glass.
Male caller said Adams St. near the old railroad tracks hasn't been paved in years and the City needs to do something about it. He said the pavement is so rough it routinely damages cars that drive over it, especially if they're going over 10 miles an hour.
Female bus driver said she thinks it's dangerous for City Sanitation trucks to block the entire width of the street when they're doing the trash pickup. She said she's afraid there will be a bad accident.
http://www.communitiestakeroot.com/plant/index#leaders It looks like this is connected with Parks and Rec. I wonder if it is possible to advertise it on the City web site. The orchard doesn't have many votes, but it seems like it would be very easy to catch up. best, Cynthia
I was at a cookout at Bryan Park this past week and noticed the orange slide near the shelter on the Woodlawn avenue side isn't very sturdy. The top of the slide where it connects to the rest of the structure only has one bolt and it looks as if it should have 4. A man there commented on how "treacherous" it was and wouldn't let his daughter play on it.
Graffiti appears on the green fence covering on the north side of Jones Ave behind Forest Quadrangle. I'm not sure if this is considered public, private, or business property since it is presumably that of Indiana University.
