We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. A large pothole located at the intersection of N. College Avenue and W. Riley Drive in Bloomington, Indiana. The pothole is situated directly at the entrance to the Steak ’n Shake and Granite Apartments. This pothole is significant in size and depth, creating a potential hazard for drivers entering or exiting the area. It poses a high risk of causing damage to vehicles, including tire blowouts, wheel damage, or suspension issues. Additionally, its location at a busy entrance increases the chances of accidents or traffic disruption. I recommend that the pothole be inspected and repaired as soon as possible to prevent damage to vehicles and to maintain road safety in this high-traffic area.

During the fall of 2020, annual maintenance of the electric wires on the right side of the street (heading south) was done. I don’t know if it’s the city, Duke Energy, or a company who performs this task but today I am writing to complain about the results of the work. It affects the following locations * Beginning at 1816 S High heading south through 2011 S High * And again beginning at 2020 S High heading south through 2021 S High As an avid gardener, it is painful to look at the way the trees are trimmed in the first place. This is the most egregious offense. And just as important, the trees and limbs that were removed are randomly thrown on the ground and it is a visual eyesore. When I look at this I wonder why all the trees aren’t just removed from both stretches on South High? Who is responsible for this mess and what can be done about it? It is shoddy work and our town of Bloomington shouldn’t allow for it.

The protected turn arrow on Fee Lane (traffic turning westbound onto 17th Street) is not functioning. Our transit buses are required to turn left on a none protected signal, and the increase in traffic has made the turn challenging. The signal has a protected turn arrow, but it was deactivated at some point over IU's summer break.

Hi my name is Micah vessely I am a student athlete here at IU playing baseball. I recently signed a lease at Vivo living which is managed by granite student living. I went to granite and grabbed everything I needed from them to go check out my apartment before moving in to make sure it was cleaned and ready to move in. I walked into the building and was immediately disgusted by the smell of smoke and the amount of bugs that were in the entry of the place. That led me to thinking about my room and how that would look if the entry was bad with bugs. I then go up to my room at 217 and walked in and the bugs were all over the place. There was probably 100+ bugs in that room alone. They were both alive and dead. I was ready to throw up when I saw that. Nobody wants to live in a place that is full of bugs it’s disgusting and makes you not want to stay there. So I reported it to the maintenance of Granite and to the management of them as well. They claim they reconditioned the place after the last person moved out which was on 7-14-25. That is a lie because when I talked to the manger at granite, she said nobody has been into that unit to do anything to it. This place was a dump and not what they said I was getting in the pictures and the lease. I paid 299 dollars in fees to have the place reconditioned and it feels as if I just got scammed out of that money. I then asked to be moved to a different unit and they were willing to do that for me which was nice, but I went to the unit they moved me to which was 329 and it was the same situation. The bugs were everywhere and the smell of smoke was just as bad. This is not a place anybody should be living in and I am requesting and inspection to be done in hopes of not having to live in a place that will put my health at risk. As a student athlete, I need to be healthy to participate in schooling and sports to perform at my best and this place feels like I will not be able to prioritize that. I have plenty of evidence of the bugs in each room 217 and 329 and signs of no smoking at or in the building. I need an inspection so I can get out of this disgusting place! Thank you!
