Currently there is no proper rain water drainage on one side of the entire Graywell drive road. The road is eroding on one side since rain water flows over the road. Recently we had lot of rain as well and it has further eroded one side of the road. Can Bloomington Utilities install proper rainwater drainage so that roads don't need to be repaired again and again? It would be ideal if rain water can be discharged under the road. This will save lot of road repair costs. Thank you for helping the city with your work.

Our neighbours have hooked pipes to their gutter drainage, and routed all that water under ground and out into our property, causing flooding and erosion. Multiple pipes are visible and at least one is causing a retaining wall to collapse. Please note your website crashes whenever I try to attach a picture.

The drainage from the street all runs down to the ONE drainage pipe and the interior or the structure that houses the pipe is deteriorating to the point that the bricks are washing out and piling up at the exit of the pipe. It's to the point that the entire system could fail and flood the home

Subject: Concern About Clogged Storm Drains on 1st Street Dear Bloomington Town Official, I am reaching out regarding an ongoing issue with leaves clogging the above-ground grated storm drains along 1st Street, between Henderson and Grant Streets. I previously reported this concern a few weeks ago, but the problem has reappeared due to the continued accumulation of leaves. The situation seems to have worsened following Bloomington's policy change to no longer collect unbagged leaves. As a result, many residents are no longer raking, and the town has become noticeably untidy. These clogged drains pose a significant risk of flooding when it rains, creating potential hazards for our community. I kindly ask for prompt attention to clear these drains and consider ways to address the broader issue of leaf accumulation to maintain the town’s cleanliness and prevent future drainage problems. My wife and I live nearby and pass by this area on our walk to Bryan park. For well over a year, I have noticed this section of the sidewalk between 609 S Fess and 605 S Fess is consistently wet, even when there has been no rain/snow. When the temps fall and stay below freezing, ice accumulates on this area of the sidewalk, as it is doing right now. I am convinced that there is either a natural spring, or a sump pump inside either 605 or 609 S Fess that is connected to a storm water run off drain that expels on the sidewalk. The water is issuing from three slit holes at the bottom of the brick wall outside of 609 S Fess, where that brick wall terminates and meets the limestone wall for 605 S Fess. 609 S Fess is managed by Sarge Rentals. 605 S Fess is managed by Wininger Real Estate.
