There scotter blocking sidewalk
Human waste piling up. Lots of trash left for months. Behind the building is a mess from roofers including nails. Ally way retaining wall by 2nd street is falling into the ally.
Multiple patients have complained that the road construction flagger is blocking access to the parking lot of Optima Dermatology. They are having to honk at him to get him to move, and some have been late to their appointments waiting on access to the lot.
I’m extremely disappointed with how the project on 2nd is being handled. Someone needs to take responsibility and manage this properly. I had an appointment and was late, not because of anything I did, but because access to the business was completely blocked. I then tried to use the alley as an alternative route, only to find that it was also closed due to construction. This level of poor planning is unacceptable. If both the main access and the only alternative route are shut down at the same time, what exactly are people supposed to do, fly?
The alley next to 1010 W 7th's fence has enough growth that it is impossible to pass by in a car without driving through it somewhat. Google street view of the location: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.1690232,-86.5456992,3a,75y,279.71h,50.73t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1snZw5adElH-JNkW2fD42-vA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Thank you!
The manhole cover for the sewer on W 7th Street close to Elm is not secured. I stepped on it and it moved under me and I almost fell in the hole.
The trash collectors threw the garbage can in my garden. My neighbors, who enjoy my garden, took this photo and sent it to me. They were upset to see the flowers and herbs on front wall crushed. These plantings are for the enjoyment of the neighborhood and to support pollinators.
Yet again tonight I could not sit on my porch because of the hazy of toxic smoke in The Near West side neighborhood. This has been an ongoing issue for the last year and a half at least. Someone is burning trash or plastic on the other side of the rail lines on empty property to the north of the B-line between Adams and where 8th St ends next to White Oak cemetery. The smoke drifts across the neighborhood. I know a neighbor reported it on Saturday night and the police went to check the site out. But it also happened Sunday and tonight. What can be done about it? Such unhealthy air.
