The sidewalk here has not had snow removed in a way that is consistent with city code requirements. It appears from Monroe County Beacon GIS that the State of Indiana may own this property.

How long do you give people to clean off their sidewalks? Northside of Ridgefield neighborhood, along N. Kinser pike. From 1102 w. Yellowwood up to Sugarberry. None of them have done anything.

The public sidewalk in front of this house was never shoveled. Pedestrians are forced to either risk slipping and falling on packed snow and ice, or walk in Kinser Pike and risk being killed by a car. This photo was taken at 3:50 PM on February 8, 2026 – 14 days after the end of the last snowstorm.
