Between 925 and 927 W Jackson, there's a sidewalk across the alley that's made of asphalt or something. It's down at a different level from the surrounding sidewalk and is a tripping hazard. Because it's across the alley, it's the city's responsibility to repair.
7th St has alternate street side parking. With the recent snowfall, cars on the parked side were boxed in, and snow on the no parking side was pushed onto previously cleared sidewalk, according to my renter. That mean it is full of ice clumps, making it impossible for she or me to remove. Can the city actually remove some of the snow for us - we know the first effort was to clear streets, but it impossible lift for a senior to clear twice the height of packed road snow on the sidewalk.
The city never cleared the snow from the bicycle lane after the January storm. As a direct consequence, the melting piles of snow left mounds of debris when they melted – similar to glacial till. For the past two weeks some group of people in the area will set off fireworks around 2-3 am and its caused a disturbance. They’re super loud bangs and it jolts you up and hurts your ears. Multiple people have animals in the area as well.
