Bus Services (Bloomington Transit)

1439 N Telluride ST

Case Date:
1/29/2024

City busses keep parking here and block a blind turn. They sit there for hours not moving an inch. The dude I saw that was parked there was reading a book in the drivers seat. There is a bus stop up the road. why not park there? Parking at my marked location just created an incredibly dangerous situation where only one car can fit past the bus in a blind turn. Ive almost been hit several times because of people rounding the corner too fast and realizing that there is a bus blocking the two way street. I dont know why but the4y sit there for HOURS. there are definitely safer places to park during their breaks. Please fix this issue, I dont want to have an accident there.

Some calendar entries require logging into a Google account before info about the public meeting can be viewed. It would be helpful to not require logging into a Google account before display of public meeting information in order to ensure greatest levels of accessibility and participation. For example, on the page at https://bloomington.in.gov/boards clicking on the calendar links displayed on the right side of the page for the Feb 9 meeting of the Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Committee or for the Feb 12 Board of Public Works Session displays a prompt to log into a Google account if the visitor is not already logged into a Google account. In contrast, clicking on the calendar entry for the Feb 7 Common Council Regular Session immediately displays the associated public meeting information, without first requiring a Google login.

City Performance

See tix 187165. Local merchants don’t flood the community with criminals, mental health patients, and drug users that are responsible these carts being abandoned all over town…the city does!! Like all the other issues in this town, local government passes the blame on others (property owners)….hard working tax paying citizens and employers! Stop accepting state money for rehabilitation of all the states delinquents! I highly advocate for people to lawyer up take action against this city with answers like that!!!!

Abandoned Vehicle

522 N Plymouth RD

Case Date:
2/6/2024

I think the house is 522. You will know it when you see it. There are two vehicles parked in the street. One is a silver Honda van. The other is a gold Altima. Both have flat or almost flat tires. The Altima has been there for a year or more. The Honda van has been there maybe a month. They have too many cars for a single family and we on Plymouth are tired of the sight and having to drive around two "abandoned" vehicles. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Street Lights

Case Date:
2/7/2024

We were asked to follow up on previous report, employees walking across Miller-Showers have low lighting, low visibility near crosswalk. They are opting to drive instead of walk from Walnut. Would like to see improved street lighting in this area, and reflectors on crosswalk paint.

Blocked Sidewalk

629 N Fairview ST

Case Date:
2/9/2024

Truck trailers partially blocking the sidewalk again. First, thank you to the Engineering Department for getting the business to move the truck out of the way of sidewalk when the sidewalk was the official pedestrian route around the Duke construction across the street in August 2023. Thank you! The problem reappeared this morning, now with a second trailer. I am sending this uReport to the Engineering Department, since you were able to get a remedy quickest last time. But please forward this uReport to Parking Services if that will get a remedy sooner.
