Person reported on area @ W. 14th adjacent to Woodburn. Trees, bruch & weeds are growing over the road. They desperately need to be cut. Caller has complained before and nothing has been done for years. He wants something done about it.

Mr. Lanaham said that he called Parks and Rec. to see if his daughter's softball practice would be canceled due to the bad weather. He said he talked to John Turnball, who he said was "arrogant" in answering his question.

Street markings need to be repainted. Worst section is 2nd Street from downtown to Hwy. 37. Also College & Walnut. Ms. Harker almost had a wreck because of lack of clear street markings.

Mr. McCafferty called in to comment on four Bloomington Police Officers on bicycles that were near People's Park on E. Kirkwood Avenue. He said the officers were stopping people on skateboards and he said he saw no reason why there should be that many officers in one place. The call was made from a pay phone at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 1997

Mr. Lucas would like to know why new truck rt. (2nd & Allen) is NOT being used by trucks? He says that trucks use Allen St. b/c its a straight shot, w/ only 1 stop sign. He feels that trucks should be ticketed and fined so that they know "Blmgtn. has a police dept.". He says that the police need to monitor the speed limit, or someone is going to get hurt. This is a residential area, and he wants to see trucks using the appropriate route.

Sherwood Oaks Park: The creek on the back of park has been dammed up (by kids, cty or parks? not sure?) and there is trash in it and a bad odor.

Parking concern at Rogers and 6th Street. People keep parking on the yellow line and it is very hard to pull out onto 6th Street. Donna has called the Police but nothing has been done.

Mr. McGuigan is concerned with the Banneker Center. He thinks that this situation he becoming very racial. He feels that the MAYOR OFFICE SHOULD BE MORE ACTIVE ABOUT THE SITUATION.

Called to say she is "thrilled" that we are starting the After School programs @ University School. She would like to see us expand the programs and possibly include more programs in the future for all grade levels.
