Trash

South Village Ct: there is one little drain at the end of the street and when there is a down pour for a length of time it can’t handle it and water starts to back up getting quite deep in the street! One of our neighbors knows about this and will get out in the water and clean the drain, which we shouldn’t have to do. Every Tuesday is recycle day on our street and loose trash floats down to this drain. The water has come up in our driveways and yards. Hopefully this can get resolved. I have lived here 24 years and nothing has been done about it. Thank you
Water Utility Problems

I live north of town in Fairwood Terrace. Multiple people in the neighborhood, including myself, have reported problems with their water service. Water pressure is low. Not so low you can't take a shower but low enough that toilets don't flush and it takes awhile to fill a sink, let alone a bath tub. The water flowing out of the faucet stops every second or so then starts flowing again. Water pressure is significantly lower in mornings when people are up and getting about their day and again drops in the evening when people get home and perhaps start cooking meals, taking showers, etc. It is a little too soon to blame the problem on people watering grass and gardens. I called the Utilities department about the problem last week and was told I had a leak in my supply line and should call a plumber. I would be glad to do that and will anyway as the line to my house is some 60+ years old. But considering so many other people are having this problem it would be most appreciated if you could send someone out to investigate what's going on as there are too many with this issue for it to be supply ines to people's houses. We have many families int he neighborhood that really can't afford the $300+ bill to for a plumber to check their lines. I will even volunteer to pay a reasonable amount for the City to come out and check that the water supply is functioning properly. We could really use some help on this one.

Sewer Problems (Storm Sewers)

We have had significant flooding at the intersection of 11th St and Blair Ave for many years. The water is high enough to jump the north curb and flood the sidewalk. What I realized in the last storm is that much of the problem stems from insufficient stormwater inlets upstream. In particular, there are no inlets near the intersection of 11th and Orris Dr, so the water simply follows the road and creates excess drainage demand on the inlets at Blair. We could really use an upgrade to the drainage system along 11th Street and its side roads in this area.

Good morning! Can someone turn the water on at the switchyard dog park? The one inside the gate isn't on and there isn't a hose like there was previously. Thanks!

I have two requests:
1. Street trees need to be trimmed up. The new Post Office vehicles are taller and hitting lower tree branch. Other delivery trucks have the same trouble. If this is not a City’s issue please contact the Renwick HOA. My address is 1891 S Renwick Blvd
2. There is a water grate at my corner (Renwick and Seminary) where a tree is trying to grow. I,have been able to trim below, the grate in past years but unable to this year. I tried spraying with vinegar but no luck. Can someone lift the grate and remove? Many thanks. MVS

This water fountain next to Kroger on the bike bath is too close to this tree to be accessible, especially for a wheelchair to get to the water bottle fill side of the fountain. I can see this only being a larger access issue as the tree grows. The water bottle side would allow a user with one available hand to use the fountain, whereas the drinking sides need one hand to hold the bottle and one to push the button.

I am addressing a sink hole on my property related to storm water erosion. On my property (Lot 5) and neighbor’s (Lot 6) property there is an easement by the city for storm water storm drainage.
Is there any assistance you can provide to me regarding the filling of the sink hole and/ or ensuring that proper drainage is occurring at your easement?
