Street light is out
According to John Garzee’s response to Ureport #210034, “Cyclists traveling east-west are not being detected at the signal, so they have to use the pedestrian push button to get a green. The current equipment does not reliably detect bikes, and fixing this would require upgrading the detection system. We’ve noted the location, but until funding is available for that upgrade, the signal will not consistently turn green for people biking.” In light of this situation, are there resources available to make the pedestrian beg button accessible to cyclists? It is currently impossible for a cyclist to press the button without getting off the bike and walking to the sidewalk.
This issue was reported last year, taken up by a team of city employees, who communicated a plan would be shared when formed related to the fix. All follow-up inquiries through email and phone have been left unanswered. The stormwater management in the Hoosier Acres neighborhood on Brownridge rd. is insufficient east to west for the majority of the roadway on either side.
Street light is starting to go out in front of the 500's building. Light flickers intermittently throughout the night.
Excessive weed growth making sidewalk unusable
Six years of unusable cats parked in overgrown yard. Order them towed. 18 years of pig sty! City does NOTHING. “Works with owners” and nothing changes. Corrupt city.
There is a city-owned tree at 1012 E Keri Marie Ln. Bloomington IN that is overhanging my roof and causing a safety hazard. The branches are resting directly on the roof structure. Most importantly, the tree makes concerning creaking sounds whenever the wind blows, indicating potential structural instability. I am concerned it may fall and cause significant property damage or injury. Please have an Urban Forester inspect it as soon as possible.
Storm drain blocked completely
I'd like to issue a complaint regarding Constellation in the Waldron building constantly blocking off parking on 4th street outside of the building between College and Walnut streets. At this point, it's nearly 2-3 times a month which seems excessive. More recently, all three regular parking spaces will be blocked off but there is no event happening and I believe their employees are parking there. Someone should really check to see how many times they are blocking off parking here throughout the year because it doesn't seem like a business should be allowed to block public parking that often. Again, there isn't a special event happening, they just park there all day instead. It's really not okay.
