Ridgefield IV neighborhood Bob Shaw is the developer. Bob tore out sidewalks august 2022 without city’s permission. Almost 2 yrs later and still no sidewalks. 3 residents with disabilities(one uses a scooter) along with multiple children in neighborhood. We need accessible sidewalks and for the city to go after Bob Shaw!

Hello, I am writing to inquire about whether the sidewalk on the east side of S. Jackson St. between 3rd and 4th streets can be repaired. As a person with a visual impairment, I have a terrible time walking on the sidewalk in this location, which is in the block where my house is. The sidewalk is very uneven, with tripping hazards throughout its course due to decay. If I didn't have a visual impairment, it would certainly be easier to walk on this part of the sidewalk, but I know that others with no visual impairment also have a difficult time because of the deteriorated surface. This stormwater conduit that drains the Cascades neighborhood is compromised - tall weeds grow every season in several areas where the cement has crumbled away over the years. I have reported this before and requested a repair, however the response was to patch a few of the larger missing areas with asphalt. This is not a sufficient conduit to manage the volume of stormwater that flows from uphill. Especially since this is a very uneven surface, stormwater is not adequately managed at this point.
All the storm water runoff from the White Oak Cemetery basin, during very hard rains, cannot be handled by the 4-storm drains near the intersection of 7th and Oak Streets. The excess is diverted through the gravel parking of our neighbor at 1025 W 7th, washing the gravel onto the street. The storm water then turns and washes through the alley between 6th & 7th Streets. It then goes through our carport and yard washing our mulch away in places. Oak street was paved in the past and is higher than the storm drain at 7th and Oak so any excess water has do go through the gravel parking instead of down the street. I would be happy to meet someone to look at this problem. Thanks.
There are holes in our line: one under the sidewalk, one under the street. They need to be fixed ASAP (we discovered the holes when a plumber was clearing a major clog the holes caused) and we need to know whose responsibility it is to take care of the issues under the road/sidewalk. The estimated cost of repair is incredibly high, and we're trying to find out what options/assistance might be available. Thank you for any information you can provide!
Drain water and sewage water is backing up from the city lines up and out of the basement drains.
There is a sewer access in the verge in front/slightly to the west of 930 w 6th. It looks like it has overflowed with sewage waste. It has happened a couple of times before and I believe it was cleaned up but this week it overflowed badly again and there’s currently no cap on the pipe.
Raw sewage from cleanout all over between sidewalk and street. This has happened sporadically for years, but several times in the last month.
There has been a strong smell of raw sewage in this area for the past week. I could smell it from the bypass each morning. Just drove down towards Cascades (Sunday night 11/6) and it is really bad down there. Please fix the sewer issues in this area.
