Potholes, Other Street Repair

176-198 South Jordan Avenue

Case Date:

The bike lane on Jordan is a mess. There are still a lot of potholes along with gravel. The newly paved parts are very bumpy and still hard to navigate.

Drainage or Runoff

Case Date:
8/26/2014

I received this email from Rachel Atz while I was on vacation: "I just spoke with a lady about our dead-end flushing program and she also included that she is having some issues with drainage behind her house and wanted to talk to someone about what she could do to improve it. She said she was willing to pay for it to be fixed, but didn't know what the best solution would be or if she even owned the property/was responsible for it. I told her I would pass the information on to our engineering department and someone would call her to discuss further. Unfortunately, I did not get her name. Her address is 4629 E. Donnington and her phone number is 812-334-4112. Thanks, Rachel"

Blocked Street

Case Date:
8/27/2014

The public sidepath between Southdowns and Greenwood Avenue is blocked by overgrown plants. This is a walk-to-school route, used by people with strollers and at least one person in a wheelchair. Walkers are currently trampling the adjacent yard in order to avoid the plants. The plants are growing from the garden of Mr. Sagarin, who you may remember sued the council over the path, so I hesitate to contact him directly. Please resolve this urgently. Thank you. David Stringer (Rogers/Binford Safe Routes to School Committee).
