This sewer grate at 6th and College has a hole in it wide enough to swallow a 2 inch wide bike tire. I believe Bloomington has a standard for storm grates that are bike friendly to avoid this hazard.

My son fell through the space made by the broken bar in this grate. It is on the northeast corner of college and 6th street.

The storm drain grate on the northwest corner of 6th & College is missing a bar and the gap is wide enough that a bicycle tire could drop into it and cause injury to the writer and damage to the bike.
