Mike Baye called into Risk and informed me, Jazmyn Forte Plunkett, that his whole street was recently repaved by the Street Department. He's noticed that water is not draining from the street properly. He explained that there was a crest and it's too high and water is accumulating near his neighbor's mailbox. His neighbor is a 70 year old woman, and he's worried that if the water freezes over, she could hurt herself. Attached are photos he sent over to me of the concern.

Recently, I reported some damage to the E. Regents Circle street, which the City immediately fixed. The repair work was OUTSTANDING, by the way! The promptness and quality of the repair work was spot-on ... many thanks to the City! However, after a few months we've noticed that the asphalt used for the repair appears to now be "separating" from the original pavement of the East edge of street (see attached photo). Our concern is that as winter approaches, there will be opportunities for water/snow/ice to accumulate, freeze, and actually cause *more* damage to the original repair work. There is a small area on the side of the road that has crumbling asphalt, which contributes to the storm water drainage issues as rocks get dropped into the drain after significant rain. Crews have patched areas along the street over the years, might be worth a review.

One of the houses near us pumps their water on to the street as well as Alice street, creating ice and slush. At least five cars have gotten stuck on the street in the past two days.

Malcolm Abrams and I own the bungalow housing the Bloom Magazine office at 414 W 6th Street. The alley to our west (when facing the building) sees a surprising amount of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian due in part to the location of the County probation department's testing office just north of us along the alley. The alley surface is in poor condition with ruts and uneven patches. The utilities department is in the process of repairing and resurfacing a portion of our lot and alley due to water line damage from AEG fiber installation. I've been told that the city will pave some well-used alleys when in disrepair. I'm wondering whether this alley would qualify particularly given that the paving equipment will be onsite already. The alley behind Osteria Rago is inaccessible for pedestrians when it rains. The pavement has potholes that trap water and the drainage doesn’t not divert water off of the road. The potholes need to be filled and the drainage fixed. It was very difficult to get to the restaurant and cars can barely maneuver through as well.

After all the utilities repair that's been going on in our neighborhood, our streets were completely ripped up. The city has since started patching the roads, but they've done a pretty slapdash job of it. The new paving is very uneven and there are gaps and places where it's easy to lose your footing. I've already tripped at least once in the last few days when I've been out walking my dog. I'm a young, able-bodied person so I'm sure you can see how it could pose a risk to the other residents in the neighborhood who might be older or less steady on their feet. I hope this patching effort is a temporary fix and not the final product, because that would be unacceptable. I would love to hear back about this issue and whether or not this is a temporary fix. I hope the roads in our neighborhood can be completely repaved when this water utilities project is fully completed.

It is stated that this is done but the picture clearly shows where there are still large pot holes that look like a small pond in between our parking lot and the apartment building across. There is obviously water in the large holes so if this needs to be done when it is dry outside I would think that would be the best time to fill it so it is even. The job work done in less than an hour time does not look like an efficient job.

Water pipe issue repaired some time ago at corner of Christopher and Brownridge. Street needs to be repaired - just a rough repair as of now. Weather permitting of course! Thanks for your attention when time is appropriate for repair.
