Another snow report for yall! I previously reported this issue in ticket #206983 on 12/01/2025. City and County snowplows create a large mound of snow where Morton St meets the convention center parking lot, near the B-line. Yellow bollards block car traffic, but pedestrians and cyclists use this intersection to get on the B-line. So now we can’t pass. And it’s like 5.5 feet tall. Thanks for that Fern. Even with my back I tried shoveling again but the snow was too compacted for me to move effectively (and perhaps I should go to the gym lol). For the short term, is it possible for a smaller plow to try clearing a path through? I hope this berm isn’t stuck here til springtime. In the long term, I have a few ideas: 1) have the plow on Morton street plow southward as much as possible, so only the short stretch north of Smith ends up at that intersection (I know there could be other logistical factors I’m unaware of to make that impossible) 2) have a smaller snow plow (like used on the B line) ready to go in the area, so it can go back and forth to keep the path clear even as the big snow plows pile up the snow. Idk I’m not a city planner so I’m sure there are reasons my ideas wouldn’t work, but I hope yall can come up with a solution to keep this path clear. Thanks for your work in managing the snow. It’s a Sisyphean task. In the meantime I’m going to work on my back and go to the gym so I can shovel better next winter.
Please please please clear off some of the metered parking between 2nd and 3rd streets. I had to park blocks away from my residence, then will have to walk every day in the freezing cold at 5am to get to my vehicle until there are enough spots there.
As of 3 PM today the sidewalk in front of the Downtown Post Office at 520 S Walnut St was untouched and extremely hazardous.
Hello, I am an elderly resident with a disability living at the dead end of Swain Avenue. The previous tenant had requested that city snow removal not extend to the end of the street (I do not know why). Unfortunately, this is creating a serious hardship for me. I park my vehicle at the left side of the end of the street next to my home. With the current snow conditions and the lack of plowing to this area, I am unable to safely leave my home. I have critical medical appointments scheduled this week that I cannot miss, and access to my vehicle is essential. I kindly request that snow plowing be extended to the end of Swain Avenue moving forward so I can safely exit my home. This is an urgent safety and accessibility concern. Thank you, Mary Ann Hope
Zero attempt at snow removal making sidewalk impossible to navigate with mobility issues.
Sidewalks and parking areas being buried by snow plows after they were previously cleared. Photos available upon request.
The parking lot at Maple Grove apartments is still not plowed. I need to come home to these apartments, but there is no where to park or enter/exit. There needs to be ice put down and the parking spots need to be shoveled
Hello, I want to say I really really appreciate all the city has done to remove snow from the streets and make things safe. I live in one of the houses on this cul de sac, and have been using my blower and shovel, along with the help of neighbors, to try and clear us out. Unfortunately there isn't anywhere for the snow to go so it's just piling up in the street despite our efforts. Is it possible when you have enough crew available to send a plow out? We did have one plow come down, but he got stuck and wasn't able to finish clearing the spot. Thank you again so much!
Only one time plow came down our road and its still terrible, see picture. Need a truck to come by one more time please!
