One of the new street trees planted by the city after the completion of the new north extension of the Jackson Creek Trail last fall has unfortunately died, and should be replaced. It is sending up suckers at the base, but I don’t think a large shrubby plant is what was intended. Tree is near the property line of the house on High and the house on the corner facing Wimbleton. The city removed a tree along the street several years ago due to ash borer beetles, and never came back to grind the stump down. They ground the stump on all the other trees in our neighborhood. Can someone please come back to finish the job? It is next to the mailbox of 2721 between ours and our neighbors property. Thank you!
I am a Certified Arborist through the I.S.A. While inspecting trees for Dr. John Labbon today at 2736 E. Brig's Bend I noticed that the city Maple tree to the right of the driveway entrance has co-dominant leaders. The 2 leads are already splitting and the smaller lead will fall onto the city sidewalk where a person walked by while I was doing the tree inspection. Dr. Labbon would like the tree removed. the trees on south henderson are covering the pedestrian signs and making it difficult and dangerous for kids walking to Templeton - I witnessed a near accident with a child this morning!
Bradford pear on the northeast side of the church property that is in the tree platt and listed as a city tree is overgrown and totally surrounds power, cable and phone lines. It needs to be removed. Thanks!!
The mulberry tree in the right of way is leaning and likely to fall soon. It should be removed. Also the bank looks unstable.
Large pine tree (within residence land) fell on a tree (on parkway /treelawn). Pine tree has been removed today, but tree in parway / treelawn is badly damaged on top. Worried broken limbs will fall on kids walking to & from Childs Elementary School and/or hit cars or obstruct the street.
The red maple tree (site id 30159?), along the street at 2320 E Woodbine Ave. is not healthy and is becoming a hazard. The top of the tree and many branches are dead. This evening (2/16/23) a large limb fell out of the tree and onto the sidewalk. I tried to attach a photo of the large limb, branches and debris on the sidewalk, but it keeps processing and won't go through. We have cleared the debris and limb from the sidewalk.
In front of home there is a dead pine tree that between 3300 &3304 Rolling Oak Dr, please remove it. Thank you!
New street tree not replaced: after the multi-use path was installed, a tree replacing a large locust was planted. That tree died almost immediately. This spring, someone from the city cut it off at the base, but did not replace it. I u-reported it last year as well and was informed then that the contractor which originally planted it would replace it sometime during last year. It’s no skin off my nose if it isn’t replaced, just rather disappointing. Thanks!
