Small dog is left outside in backyard of 500 S. Hawthorne all day and well into the night. The dog barks a lot, especially at night, and it's unclear whether anyone is present at home regularly. The dog used to get loose and run all over the neighborhood. It even bit a neighbor. This is a sadly neglected pet and should be saved from this cruel situation.
"Chickering Rentals" sign in the ROW in the bump-out next to the 'Speed Hump' sign.
There are large stones blocking the sidewalk on the north side of 2nd, a bit west of Wendy’s and also closer to the trail. You wouldn’t leave barriers in the roads. Why do you leave them on sidewalks? Thank you.
There is a pine tree on the S.W. corner that totally blocks vision when going east on first.
Hello, this is the third time I have submitted a complaint about this property. My neighbor sent me this photo via text last night. The owner’s family members think they’re clever by “solving the problem” of removing old mattresses on the front porch. We were all thrilled to think they finally had the two stained mattresses properly hauled away. Instead, they just moved them to the crumbling back porch with its sagging roof. If there was a fire, heaven forbid, and they had to quickly use the back door to leave a burning building, they would be delayed by the old, stained mattresses. In addition to the owner, there is a tenant named James (who also goes by Jimmy) living at the house. He is intellectually challenged, yet seems to be the only person seen pushing home owner Carl up the sidewalk and/or street, in a seated walker. Carl’s health has visibly declined since the beginning of 2025. This family is flipping the bird at City inspectors and us, the neighbors who have to look at their mess, and have for years. I will keep filing reports until owner Carl James, his 16 grandchildren and namesake son CJ (Carl Junior) finally takes these infractions seriously. Thank you for your work.
Emergency vehicles do tremendous life-saving work. We are most grateful. And they are exempt from noise ordinances. But was it necessary to use a siren at 3:20 AM Sun. morning, Oct 5 near the Hyde Park/ Sare Road neighborhood? There is hardly any traffic at that hour. The siren awakened me and I was unable to get back to sleep. I am 73, and recovering from an illness. I don’t know if the ambulance came from the Bloomington fire dept or hospital, but wouldn’t flashing lights be sufficient at that hour?
At 3624 E Tamarron Dr it appears as if there is a water main break with water flowing down the street. This is probably due to the execive (125 psi) water preasure.
