There is a coyote family living in the woods by the RR. There is a mother and at least two pups. They seem to hang out directly north of 127 E. 12th on the south side of the tracks. They come out in the evenings and early mornings and maybe all night long and run around the neighborhood. Does the city ever trap and relocate wild animals that are potentially dangerous? We don't want them killed, just would rather they live somewhere else.

Dead squirrel at the base of the Arden Place sign at the location indicated on the map. Squirrel appears to be roadkill that was moved right next to the side of the road under the Arden Place sign. There are many children and dogs walking in the area so it would be much appreciated if the dead squirrel could be removed.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets

1908 S Oakdale DR

Case Date:

There is a woman who walks her dog off-leash around Hidden Hills and Oakdale Square apartment complexes. This woman lives in Hidden Hills (Building "A", unit 1908 maybe) and walks her dog daily around 7:45am-9am then in the evening around 3pm-5pm. I know this because I often see her when going to/from work. Her dog has approached me multiple times and it doesn't seem friendly. Regardless, I'm not only afraid of dogs, I'm also allergic. I've asked the owner to get her dog when it gets close to me, but it's not well trained & she has to call it multiple times before it leaves me alone. I've suffered allergic reactions because of her dog. The woman looks to be in her 30s, brown hair, white, and might wear glasses. Myself and other residents have complained to Sarah, the Hidden Hills property manager, but she refuses to do anything about it. Walking a dog off-lease is against their policy and it's illegal unless the dog is in a dog park. I'm reporting this because I'm afraid to walk around my apartment complex because I know there could be an off-leash dog out there and it may or may not be aggressive. I would ask that you send someone to the Oakdale Square/Hidden Hills complex during the timeframes I listed to catch her in the act. I don't know if she needs to be informed of the law, fined, or have her dog taken away. This has been happening since i moved in and no one is doing anything about it. I need your help.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets

1913 S Sussex DR

Case Date:
8/1/2020

Can we start to have a conversation about the deer population in this town? I walked Sussex Dr yesterday and counted ten deer (!) in 3 groups: doe and 2 fawns, doe and 3 fawns, doe and 2 fawns - all within 2 city blocks!! As we approached the first group using the city sidewalk the mother agressively came after us, stomping her foot. We had to cross the street and walk very slowly to avoid her defensive aggression. This is all well within the city limits. Why should I have to fear them when I'm walking around my own neighborhood? They've already forced several of ourneighbors to install concentration camp fencing to protect their landscaping. Many of our other neighbors have all their landscaping in cages. I like watching deer, too, but come on now - at this point they are pests without a predator to keep them under control. Have we gone too far? Culling is in order. Note: I didn't even mention the costs of hitting one with a car or motorcyle.

I've left my neighbors 2 letters asking to clean up after dog as my daughter and I continually step in it. No response. The first time I bagged up 4 pounds out of my front yard, and just bagged up 2 more pounds. Unsure where to go with this complaint. Thank you.
