N College Ave crosswalk next to CVS is just a standard crosswalk and I go down this street everyday home from work and it's very dangerous. I usually drive in the left lane because right lane has more potholes. I see pedestrians crossing this street and cars do not stop. I will stop in left lane for pedestrian but right lane does not see person crossing and has to slow down quickly. Would be nice if we can get a crosswalk that alerts drivers like the one on South Walnut Street. My fear is that someone will get struck by a car crossing this street. Today someone crossed I stopped for them and right lane car next to me almost hit them driving fast down this lane. I hope this can be taken into serious consideration. Just a suggestion, it would be helpful to have a crosswalk from Bloomington HS South from or around the faculty parking lot and or where the busses line up to a side walk. Currently, students are just crossing the street and it’s really unsafe.

There is a bus stop here and many residents live at this apartment. I also see workers moving around a lot in this area. There is no cross walk to get people from scholar's quad apartments (or the IU buildings across from scholar's quad) to the nearest bus stop across the street. I have seen a lot of jay walking and close calls as residents attempt to cross the road to get to the bus bus on 10th and 45/46 bypass. Please consider placing a cross walk for residents to safely cross the street.

The stretch of Hillside between High and Henderson is dangerous for all modes of transportation - there is no safe place to make a left-hand turn from any intersection north or south, especially at rush hours. At least one or more signals and/or 4way stops are needed. Please don't wait for accidents to happen to address the problem. thank you

Hello, I've been talking to several residents of Sunny Slopes who have children who play outside. We have been having many issues with cars speeding down this road, and around the curves. There is a very dangerous vehicular traffic pattern on S Woodlawn Ave between Sheridan Dr and E Hillside Dr, especially near the Grimes & Woodlawn and Weatherstone & Woodlawn intersections. There is a blind hill on Woodlawn that greatly decreases visibility for everyone. North @ south-bound vehicles on Woodlawn regularly break the speed limit by 20+ MPH and have even seen estimated speeds of 70+ mph. Sometimes vehicles "floor it" on Woodlawn southbound from Sheridan Ln stop sign. The city should consider installing a STOP sign on Woodlawn @ Grimes intersection to decrease the speed of North & South-bound traffic on Woodlawn Ave. The city should also consider additional signage to protect pedestrians who are crossing from Weatherstone Ln to Bryan Park. I have almost been hit there several times by speeding cars and trucks. This is a primary route for cyclists, pedestrians, commuting students, and dog-walkers. Pedestrians and cyclists crossing Woodlawn anywhere between Hillside and Sheridan Ave risk injury and death by vehicles speeding up and down the blind hill. I have lived on this street (S Palmer Avenue between Hillside and Grimes) for going on nine years now, and myself and my neighbors are concerned with the speed many non-residential drivers use on this span of Palmer. The majority of drivers maintain a speed far too fast down our street. This is especially troubling because half of our street has not sidewalks and many Bryan Park residents use the street as a walking path. I would like to request either a speed-monitoring study or the installation of traffic-slowing measures on this stretch of Palmer.

Can the City not require the Indiana Railroad to install some type of flashing light, larger warning sign or something to help prevent this from happening? There has been an increasing amount of trucks hitting this bridge, at least 6 in the past year that I'm aware of.

During construction, there is not a safe way for pedestrians, joggers, wheelchairs, baby strollers and other non-vehicle movement through this blind road. Recommend routing traffic or reducing speeds to allow for people to safely get through this tight spot.
